Defense imo is all about disguise and tricks if you run a cover 4 but your in base alignment or a cover 2 shell they won’t know what to really attack or will be attacking the wrong thing
I used to think this until I really started to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the coverages, now I win games more on defense than offense. Spend the first few plays seeing what areas of the field your opponent likes to target. Are they bombing deep to the sidelines? Cover 4. Are they throwing tons of drag routes? Cover 2. Are they aiming for corners, deep middle, or running a lot? Cover 3. Do they do a lot of RPO, screens, or quick routes in the middle? Cover 1. Then once you understand what the main weaknesses of your coverages are you can use your user to go out of position at times and cover those. In Tampa 2 I like to be the strong side linebacker and look out for them running corner routes. In cover 4 I’ll play one of the purple zones and watch for underneath routes. In cover 3 I’ll be an ILB and watch for seams or flood to the strong side. Cover 1 I’ll usually take the robber/hole (the green zone) and watch those crossing routes
U literally potentially have the streak on an inside pass lead, the drag early or in mid field, the crosser over the middle and the in all as reads. The user would have to be a very discipline switch sticker to cover all those routes consistently
Agree with Huddle. One of cover 4’s biggest weaknesses is that it only has one LB defending the middle of the field so dagger is meant to high-low them so long as you time it well
So hard to play defense with all these videos out to bomb every coverage

Yea but what if the user covers the middle of the field? The drag is covered by the curl flat if the user doesn’t take it.
Throw the drag before he gets all the way across the field if the user gets depth.
