That includes strapping one bind with your switch foot, switch skate around, switch get on and off the lift.. I like to ride my first full lap switch every time I ride, even years after feeling real confident riding switch.. I spent a whole season focused on just riding switch everyday and it dramatically helped me as a rider

Literally! And when you land switch off a feature then you don't have to revert back to regular haha

    CDub! I like these shorts.
I’d like to add this if you’re just starting to ride switch: Make one turn. Then pause. Then make one turn. Then pause.
Do it heel to toe. Then toe to heel.
Do it in pieces initially. A couple of turns at a time.
Don’t think ‘I’ve got to get to the bottom of the run!’
Instead, approach a run as discrete sections to practice one or two linked turns at a time. Pause. Then do it again.
Ego was the biggest obstacle for me. I was constantly tempted to revert back to regular, not wanting to look like a total shlep.
This was/is an ongoing challenge. I won’t say ‘get over it,’ because it’s not a one time thing. It’s constant challenge.
Be honest about where you are. Commit to developing the skill. Work from there.

Yewwwww this is a great mindset to have!! Its all about just making it happen in any way that is comfortable for you.
Shorts will be coming daily! Yewww

As a beginner rider, I started 2023 nov. I have been riding both and practicing riding switch and regular since day one! Im making slower progress overall but at the same time I’m also learning two ways at once. In my experience it’s been really great and smooth.

Ride switch till your mind gets tired then go back regular, repeat next day.

I love Casey bringing out all these little nuggets and dropping them in a series of shorts.
It's completely brilliant, and all this advice is completely timeless, so whether it came from a video back in the Corinthia days or two weeks ago, it's all legit, worthwhile advice.

Just started learning how to snowboard this spring. I find that riding switch is the same difficulty level for me as regular, even as I am progressing. I just keep my weight on the foot pointed down the mountain and it feels fine either way. Hopefully it stays that way!

Lmao story time. One day I was riding and tool a little micro dose of mushrooms probably about 0.5 maybe a little bit more. I was riding behind some guy swapping so beautifully between switch and regular. I had no idea what he rode normally. My brain on mushrooms was like immediately chirping me like yo you can do that. So I swapped to switch and rode with it for a bit. Little sketch at first but everytime I'd ride regular my brain would be nuh uh not today. And I literally learnt switch from riding on mushies all day and I feel pretty competent in switch at all times now. Lolol

Its because you aren't letting your shoulders cooperate with riding switch on your toes. Concentrate on what you do with your shoulders while riding in your normal stance and then see if you can mimic that on a gradual slope while going switch.
      YOU GOT THIS!

@Casey Willax Duuuude thank you so much! I'm on my way now up to Copper mountain to do this! Btw last week I hit my first jump and every time I kept getting more and more air going from a light tap to a full on method grab! Simply can't get enough of your videos!
