I was an FC aboard the USS DOWNES (FF-1070) , CIWS was my NEC. We had serial number 189. I had the best job in the Navy. A gatling gun, 2 radars, a computer, a saltwater cooling system, the HPA is a klystron, the motors were sikorskys, The first system GD made.
