I grew up in Southern California. My grandmother lived in Newport Beach, within walking distance of the ocean. I remember in the 1960s, my dad toured the houses on Lido Island. He came back pissed and insulted because they were asking $65,000 for the new homes there. As you can see from the dates, I'm old.

You can’t sleep at night with the home all open like that, well certainly not here, the home invaders & thief’s would have a field day. Might be nice during the day. Having lived near the beach in my youth the ocean breeze wasn’t all the time, 24/7 so it could still be hot at any time of day or night, well in Oz, and we could see the ocean from our home, a 15 min walk down the hill to the surf beach..….but I do love an ocean breeze. 🌊❤❤
