Songs like this take you back to how the church used to be. We get so caught up nowadays and not realizing that this type of music is what our praying grandparents covered us in His blood with.
I love to hear her sing this, I have to listen to this every day! Gosh, I wish I could've heard her sing in person, but thank God for her legacy being recaptured on RUclips! :)
YESSSS LORD!! SANG IT MAMA BARRETT-CAMPBELL!! RIP WITHIN YOUR SOUL, WITHIN YOUR SOUL, WITHIN YOUR SOUL; DEEP DOWN WITHIN!! HE'LL HEAR YOUR CALL, HE WON'T LET YOU FALL, YOU'LL GAIN THE VICTORY, VICTORY, VICTORY, IF YOU LET GOD ABIDE!! THANK YA JESUS!!
She was beautiful from within, it showed on her face and in her singing. I wish they were still here singing for us. Rodessa is still here but the others have gone on. Makes me want to cry.
I listen to this everyday. I wish I would have gotten a chance to meet Ms Delois. I just love her spirit when I watch The Barrett Sisters videos. Rest in Power Ms Delois
One of the significant parts of this clip is the man who started directing is Eugene Smith, the original lead of that song with the Roberta Martin Singers. He actually was the first member of the group at around age 15. Wonderful history here.
for sure we can see that on 1:34 mama Delois Barret Campbell doesn't know or maybe forget the lyric and she ask the lyric from her sister😂blessed her and loved the Barrett Sisters ❤️❤️Rest In Heavenly Peace mama Delois and mama Billy❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
I don’t think she forgot. If you notice on a lot of their songs they do that to each other. Her and Billie did it on this song and she did it to Billie on a song with James Cleveland that they co-lead.
@@rashad5674 in this song, Mama Louis did forgot the lyric...as you can see in the video, she keeps give a code to her sisters to help her giving the right lyric and you can also see Mama Rodhessa whispering Mama Louis the right word ... it's okay..it understandable because Mama Louis is not young anymore in this video and if she don't remember the word it's totally fine

That piano player is AWESOME!!!
Nia Imani-Diarra .....his name was Donald Vails, gone from this Earth way before his time thanks to that bonehead James Cleveland......
@@jackspade6270 why do you blame James for his death? I thought he was sick for a while ans then passed
@@allydaopera Rev. James Cleveland had homosexual liaisons with most of his protoges without telling them he was HIV positive
@@brickcitybikeman3108 omg! That really hurts cause James is one of my favorite songwriters, I never knew. That’s so messed up he did that to people
@@allydaopera SMH, I doubt that anyone has an autopsy report to prove it. However, he was very talented and died at a young age.

Powerful. This one is the best to listen to in the hard moments. Bless Mrs. Campbell, and the crowd and the piano player.
Amazing!!! This is truly food for the soul.. Thank you Lord.
What a high time in the Lord!
