I am a Buddhist but i love this song so much... it sounds like you're sitting on a wide field and look at the sky...
It's not a phase once you get saved. It's like nothing you will ever experience. You change and you feel lifted as if a great weight is gone. As it says in the bible the laws will be written in your heart once you truly get saved. It's only a phase for those who are tricked or don't truly believe. This song isn't about religion, its about having a relationship with God. It sounds weird to someone who might not fully believe or have faith, but hopefully you get my point.
This made me love Adam so much more

@boweybear in my perspective i see it as a song thought originally from a catholic's point of view, but i also think that many religions can feel that way because many religions differ in small ways. Plus, the way that adam young writes, everyone can get something out of this! :) :)
@13WaterDark first of all its mostly directed for protestants not catholics, but you are right that you dont have to be a certain religion to like a type of song.

I love this song!! I've never heard it on his albums before.....when was it released? Christ for life and beyond, God is great : )
I'm very confused about religion, in fact, Christianity scares me, it seriously is scary to me but owl city is my favorite artist and I respect that he's not afraid to tell the world what he believes in :) he's the best.
I think he should do more songs like this. maybe write his own? :-)

@MagicRos3s God really is like a Father, he doesn't want to brainwash us, he just wants to love us and us to love him back. Then we're supposed to spread that love to everyone else. xandinavian is right, not everyone who says they're a Christian is telling the truth. Those are people who missed the entire point, or saw Christianity as a way to gain power. They aren't really our brothers at all.

@kj52kakashi I understand what you meant, but you have to remember that people outside of your religion may not use the same vernacular as those who grew up in that religion. We just need to be more understanding of differences and thankful for the opportunities we have to communicate based on shared interests. For example music we commonly like. I appreciate your reply.

It's dissapointing to see that the comment directly underneath this song has to do with dis-unity and argument. C'mon guys, this isn't what Owl City is about.
I believe...if every...single...person...in the world were truthfully told growing up, "There is a G-d, He made u, He loves u, He died for u, He wants joy in your life, He has a plan for your life, & u ought 2 love others as yourself," I'm sure the world would have all the "peace" & "prosperity" it's been asking for all the time.
