The Skylight Calendar has a lot of other features you don’t mention. You can create To Do lists, a grocery list and setup daily/weekly chores for different people.
Yes. Nice features. I do want to mention that chores is limited though to a certain number of people (I believe only 3 kids) and to me that seems silly. We have 11 people in our home. Why have a limit?
We use our show 15 as a firestick. Pair a firestick remote with it. We mounted ours under our kitchen cabinet and the kids watch shows on RUclips and such
Showing us the calendar feature on the Echo would make the most sense in light of the Skylight calendar being part of this review. I am so disappointed in how worthless and hard to use the calendar feature is in the Google Nest Hub and Hub Max I am seriously considering that Skylight. Google should be embarrassed for themselves.
@@jackieperucki I haven't. The Google set up is barely 7 months old, and I'm not keen to replace it. Don't want to necessarily get a dedicated calendar thing, but the calendar feature on Google is just worthless. So, just holding our since I'm a cheapass, and trying to learn more about Amazon's offerings in case I decide to swap everything over. But, won't do that unless I know I won't just have other issues. First world problems.
Couldn't agree more. All I've wanted to see (and compare) was how the Echo Show calendar widget works and displays yet I can't find anything on the internet. If it works comparable to the Skylight hard to imagine why it wouldn't be the better choice considering all the other capabilities it has.
@@jackieperucki FWIW, I’ve started to switch the house over to Amazon Echo Show’s, FWIW. The calendar display isn’t perfect, but very useful. You get an infinite scroll of upcoming dates and can then see associated events in chronological order, and also a month-level glance that, while offering no indication of an event, lets you touch a date and jump right to any entries for it.

If Echo can do the same things as Skylight, I'd rather stick with something I know (Amazon). We are an iphone family, but I use google calendar for everything. Hard to keep track of 6 people.
We use a lot of apple products. Can’t we just use an iPad and load the calendar? The skylight looks so easy and less convoluted, which I love Bc I’m not techy…. But what’s the difference between that & just putting an iPad on a stand with the calendar up?

I love the view of the Alexa but need the functionality of the skylight for Ch Melissa, chores etc. I can’t get that visual morning, chore lists etc on Alexa. But also want the music etc!
I know for him to say that he's very techy you can definitely tell that he's an Apple user because he has no idea how to use technology you can definitely turn off all of that you can actually turn off the screen😅 typical apple sheet
that wasn't as helpful as I hoped it would be. What about the calendar features of the Show and Hub? Saying the Show does "everything" is not helpful. If the Hub just does photos, I'm not interested. So between the Show and the Skylight, what are the calendar, reminders, and organizational features?
Dont get the Google Hub if you are looking for a calendar... it will not show your calendar. I know... because I made that mistake. I bought the google hub to have a calendar show up my event for the week and it doesnt even do that.
apple family as well, Iv watched a couple of your videos about these tablets and such. What would you recommend for an apple household? I have the Siri home hubs all around I use the Wyze & Logitech cameras and am interested in the shared calendars and to do lists as the top priority. Then followed by home security, control, and a snapshot of the weather and such. Is there a iOS device I’m missing or is there an app to turn a old iPad into a stationary? Finally price and subscriptions. Are there any one shot payment plans or any free basic plans that covers it. Thank you for your time and content.

Do you use the Apple Home app? That would work pretty well. I also use the Starling App to connect my Nest Cameras to Apple Home.
