Please never add key to next position as if customer goes to BMW for key or next owner the key will not work, always add key in 8+
I surmise it would've been much safer to do this on the bench with the CAS module removed. Great job, but too risky!

It's super risky !!!
There is chance during downgrade brick the cas module what will cause lost of communication with cas. Bench procedure recommended from cas 3+
Done so so many cas4/4+ by obd without any issues, but feel free to do by bench, cas3+ and FEM are the risky ones by obd. (BDC less risky but takes a longer time than by bench so bench’s still preferred)

By using the ISN number you did not have to decrypt the version and went directly to programming?
For all Add-a-Key you can read the ISN from the original key, hence more forward without disassembling the DME/ECU to read it on bench(some can be read by obd but it isn’t recommend)

What is the small issue??
As Xhorse says in the programming menu, sometimes after programming either the car wouldn’t start or the remote won’t work, it’s just a simple resync procedure from that same main menu.
It doesn’t mean the unlocking failed or caused damage.

Does the xhorse downgrade the cas Modul? In my smart pro it says that it can brick the bcm if its updated with the anti theft upgrade
If you'd be asking 2 years ago, CAS4 would be risky, nowadays we've done countless by OBD without issue on Xhorse.
However CAS3++ ISTAP, and FEM/BDC are still risky and should be done on bench.

Is the new key and BMW key or a aftermarket key??
The new key we used is an OEM, but you should be able to use Autel universals, I don't believe this key has aftermarket options out there.

Hello my friend. I am a key maker and I purchased the vvdi key tool plus device. Can this device use OBD for all vehicles with CAS3 and CAS4 systems? Or do we need to disassemble it? Can you give me some information about it?
Hello Enesguler thanks for your interest, yes, CAS3 and CAS4 can be done fully by OBD for adding keys, for All keys lost you will need to also get the ISN. Keep in mind CAS3+ ISTAP is risky by OBD and you shouldn't attempt it without proper training.

I have key tool plus.
I add the F10 key... even if I take the key to the emergency start position, the key tool plus cannot detect it.
However, if you look at 'read key information', the new key is registered. The remote control does not work, but emergency start is possible.
What could be the problem?

Are you using an xhorse generated key? Or an oem key?? Those FORD push to start proximities from like 2015+ are very picky even if you think the key looks the same it could be wrong. I would bet you have the incorrect key and that is only issue
Did you add extra power to the car for cas unlock?

Which programmer do you prefer for VAG and BMW. The Key Tool Plus or the IM608?

What would have happened is the person didn't unlock the car with code while you were trying to program
We assume you’re talking about the keypad aftermarket security device installed in the car, without putting in the code or bridging the disconnections that were made when installing that pad, there will be no communication through OBD or ability to turn on the cluster.

Sir, this video is on CAS4/CAS4+, the vehicle you were doing (F36) is FEM which is a completely different system and procedure, we would never release an instructional video if we weren’t 100% convinced it is safe.
