- For his first solo show in Australia in June of 2006 at the famed Sydney venue, Hughes brought his unique brand of Rock-Funk to a new audience. Indeed, this is one of Britain1s greatest Rock singers in acoustic mode, intimate and live, and his soulful, distinctive voice is in top-notch condition throughout. The songs range across his career, taking in material from his solo albums like 1977's Play Me Out to 2005's Soul Mover and his newest release Music For The Divine. On top of that, Hughes returns to his legendary Deep Purple days for 'This Time Around', 'You Keep On Moving', an astonishing rendition of 'Mistreated' and a duet with celebrated Aussie Rock front man Jimmy Barnes on 'Getting Tighter'.

No doubt who the greatest voice in Rock music is, Glenn Hughes. He is 2nd to none. His range is amazing. 14.5 years after this performance he still has the voice of a singing god.
There is no way that a guy at his age, who was notorious for his drug usage, still sounds so incredible. There is very little difference from when he played in Deep Purple to now. He is truly one of a kind.

I was humbled to see Glenn play in 2014 on the only California Breed tour with Alter Bridge. He came up to play Highway Star with AB and was the star of the show by miles. I was front row and you could feel his natural reverberation past the microphone.

Amazing!!! Glenn Hughes is surely an alien, from a planet that produces vocalists with super powers!!! Even as he "ages", his voice is untouched by time! The only thing that comes close to his vocal ability is his genius on bass! I thank the gods for Glenn Hughes!!!
I am now 55. It has been great following Glenn's career since someone turned my onto, Trapeze's "You are the Music" LP, in the early 70's. I went out and bought that LP along with the other Trapeze Classic LP, "Medusa". Must listening for GH fans. I was lucky to see GH live for the first time, when he was in Deep Purple. It was the "Storm Bringer tour. Glad he is still kicking and making good music. R.I.P. to Black Country Communion...It was short, but a great ride...Keep Rockin' GH!!!

This is one of the very few cover versions of AWSOP which achieves the almost impossible: to be as good as the original whilst having a very individual stamp on it. Brilliant.

I'm not surprised Glenn did this awesomely (is that even word?). The Sabbath mark Hughes was awesome. He has one of the finest Metal voices. Again, I'm not shocked how good he did this one.

Hughes was a great singer with Deep Purple,but I was blown away by this.Still great.
GH is a great singer, but I think he's outclassed by the likes of Ronnie James Dio or Rob Halford (didn't think he still got it, but the last Judas Priest album was awesome)

In late 2016 Glenn Hughes released a new modern rock album called "Resonate". It doesn't sound much like this.. But worth a try. I enjoy it!
