I have respect for both naval and tdm communities, but it’s crazy to still see tdmers ripping into naval players’ montages. Yes I recognise that this is mostly a tdm montage since it’s mostly fort clips, so it is mostly compared to other tdm montages, but some people are acting like this was supposed to compete with high level tdm montages. I’m sure Sponge himself is aware that this isn’t a great tdm montage, but that makes sense since he’s a devote navaler. It would be like pointing out that the mechanics in a comp RL players’ tage are nothing compared to that of freestylers’. They’re both distinct parts of the game, much like tdming v naval. And don’t get me started on the ‘no reusing songs’ etiquette of tdm montages lol. Realistically the good players in this comment section all understand this situation perfectly. These all exist because the game has a competitive aspect. Sea of Thieves is extremely competitive within certain groups and RARE has literally sponsored these events and leagues.
