I am so happy I came across your video- I was just invited to a baby shower and was thinking of making a baby blanket. Did not know you can use chunky yarn on the LK 150😀
You made a really good point about using extra weight when the yarn is thick. I haven't tried it on a flat bed (I'm still trying to make room to set mine up) but I've used that trick on both my Addi circular and my EmbellishKnit (little thing that makes I cord) and it has definitely helped. On a flat bed you have the added advantage of being able to use only every other needle (that's not possible on a circular). That gives you even more yarn options. I'm thinking that as long as the yarn will fit in the hooks and isn't going to catch on them it's worth trying.
Lovely blanket. I've just been gifted 2 knitting machines one of which does chunky I think. A Brother convertible KX-395. Need to set it up and practice. I also have this yarn so happy days. All the best Caz
Machines have there own needles and you can't use another, or the machine will jam Of your just going to use chunky, look for a machine where the needles are further apart or work on every other needles, This is a mid guage machine, Standard ones only just take dk yarn, and are better for 4ply. Hope this helps
The file goes to highlight number, and it's every other stitch, it will feel odd, but it will go, don't force it. I'll do another video if you are still struggling
Could you make me baby clothes for newborn if I mail you punch card that I designed myself and some yarns?? I will have my first baby born right before Christmas
Sorry, at the moment I've had to fold up my knitting machine table due to complications in my personal life, time for crafting is virtually non existent 🥺
Looks cozy, was afraid to venture into the chunky yarn, but I will now, thanks for sharing.
You most welcome 😊 I was scared at first incase the machine wouldn't take it

Well done for attempting this. It is a great machine - but I wish people would knit tighter, the knitting would keep it's shape then.

Yeah they not to go too thick, or the machine will hate you forever, and the carriage ends up in the fish pond lol

All the best Caz
Wow lucky to be gifted 2 😳 that friend has so just made your best buddy list.
All I get is wool 😄 but lots of it
wool is good too, I had a lot of the cones gifted aswell :)
Great video. Thank you ❤️
After you cast on... can you please tell me the position for the levers(both sides) to start knitting?
Me gustaría tener ese carrete, como lo puedo conseguir ? Soy de santiago de chile
Want to buy a machine but I was wondering if I will have to change the needles or will the ones it comes with work for this yarn?

Hi, how many needles do you cast on? Great video. Hope you do more :-)
Hi, for this blanket it was the full bed so 75 / 75 every other needle as the wool is chunky ☺️ thank you for your question I hope this helps.
How do you use Tension 13 when the dial only has 9?
If ou look at the dile, it has 2 sets of the numbres, the second lot of numbers that go up to 13, are every other needle so 9 becomes 19.
Can you show how to set the carriage tension to 13? I'm worried that I'm doing it wrong.

It's just spinning the dile all the way so that 13 is at the dot. Make sure you are casting on with this tension too
I don't know how to set tension above 10 on LK150 carriage. The dial runs to end is 9 !
The dile has 2 sets of numbers the second set of numbers are the ones I am referring to, on every other stitch, yes mine says 13 on the top
