CSV export is something we'll definitely look into soon - mainly something that requires some thought, especially with regards to how to handle and link to images and other media assets that are in the CMS. We're listening! 😃
Thanks Bryant! Super appreciate you joining the conversation. My philosophy is better done then perfect, this feature is mainly here to make my clients feel reassured they can export their data, and I'm pretty sure that once they get started with Webflow, they will actually never leave and won't use it.
the thing is for me it ends up beomcing a teaching sessions when you need to simply deliver the solution with some minimal support and move on to next client, and also whats the point of ongoing development cost, they hired you for development for a reason so they wuldnt have to learn webflow so for them to manage ongoing development ocsts doest make sense
Love this! Could you speak about the GDPR and tips on things we should know as fellow web designers and how it affected your process when designing websites?
Love webflow but they need to work on their pricing for plans and offer something more afforadable for CMS. Makes no sense...Started has 50 CMS, 20 Collections and 30 fields per connections...whcih is FREE but no custom domain...then the Basic plan has absolutly NO CMS which currently is $14 per month for a yrs...but then to even get CMS it jumps to $23 /month billed per year. This is where is is frustrating...the Basic Hosting need a lite CMS like the Free Starter
At 4:06 when Ran is speaking about the images loading super super fast he is referring to a CDN or content delivery network. A CDN is a network of web servers that are spread throughout the world and based on where your website visitor is then that image or website element will load faster for them because the content will load from a server that is geographically closer to them.
T H I S Love the thoughts on this. Super helpful. Do you ever take on clients where their needs do not line up with Webflow? Or, do you only export the site for them if that is the case?
There's a Wishlist item for CSV export of CMS items, and the more feedback and votes it receives would be awesome! - wishlist.webflow.com/ideas/WEBFLOW-I-308

I found a premium template that I like on webflow. If I buy it, can I just download the files and edit them old school, with coding?
depends if you need to use the CMS. But if you don't, you can definitely export the template from Webflow.
this launched in October, so posting for everyone here: webflow.com/feature/export-content-as-a-csv
Thanks Ran! You actually answered my question in a video like you said you would.
Really needed this video.

I do, I've share some case studies of website where the client chose to develop the site themselves.
Flux interesting. Do you choose to WordPress sites if that's all the client wants?
nope. I don't touch WP.
