I love how the gamilon ships look. The carriers, destroyers and battleships all have specific and distinctive shapes. Another reason why I love this show. The same goes for the comet empire ships as well. Whereas in Robotech, a lot of the alien ships in that series, just looked like a bunch of blobs with no creativity in their look.
Im suprised no one is bitching about the saki being replaced with spring water from Earth. But in the context of Earths situation, it actually makes sense. Natural water WOULD be pretty rare after the Gamelons fucked up the planet. And drinking it could very well take on a greater symbolism and prestige because of it.
i love Lysis to death, but why in gods name if you're trying to beat the star force - do you put a five minute timer on the drill missile ?? !!!! one or two minutes tops - come on, man !!
@djdominatord let me start by saying I LOVE THIS SHOW!! and would love to see more of it in any form. but, you say interesting i say bad. for every show they do well they have 30 that sucked. i mean this is the same channel that made mansquito. id much rather see an updated modern anime version on adult swim.
@djdominatord Probably would wind up like Battlestar Galactica. Not faithful to the original at all. Venture would be remade into a woman, the Gamelons becoming a sympathetic race humans once oppressed and bombed Earth out of self preservation, and the entire crew would be at each others throats every step of the way. Any spirit of hope would be eradicated and humanity would be portrayed at its absolute worst. No thanks. Sci-Fi would rape Star Blazers
@ReverendSyn Amen to that. Syfy would butcher the endearing message of positivity in the daily threat of the Gamilons. I've always hated Syfy's B Galactica. A truly worthless piece of trash series that made humans into monsters. How the hell can you follow a depressing series like that and screw up the original series out of 'artistic" petty reasons? More lefty rubbish.
I do have ta say the Black Tigers have the coolest uniforms in the Star Force. Black and Gold are an awesome combination !

Wouldn't it be interesting to see the Sci-Fi Channel do a modern day update of this show as a serial series. Live action rather than anime I mean.

@ReverendSyn Actually, in the Japanese dub, it actually IS Spring water. they used that because of exactly what you said.
