My ROK counterparts were confused on this Officer-Enlisted fraternization rule. ROK military allowed relationship between Officers and NCOs (Not conscripts) as long as they are not in each other's chain of command or influence. I have met several Officer-NCO couples in the ROK military. Also, I met a ROK officer who is married to a US NCO. Per JAG, US NCO was married to a foreign officer, therefore this UCMJ rule does not apply. (Zero/lack of chance of foreign officer in US NCO's chain of command or influence.)

Jim Johnson, thank you for watching my video. I guess the ROK military does not allow the relationship between Officers and NCOs if they are in the same chain of command due to the fair evaluation. You are right about the ROK military, and I've seen several officers in the ROK military where they were dating and had a relationship. Thank you for sharing an interesting subject about a ROK officer married to a US NCO. I am not the JAG, but I guess it can also depend on a foreign officer's country.

Look at the relationship. Love is love. You can't stop love. As a commander you need to make a decision and you have options. There is no fine line. Great Vid Park.
