Fabulous, it's 2024 & I'm still loving this track 😊
Watching this made me cry. 1979, our care free days, enjoying life and friends, fast forward to 2020, and listening to this , thinking back, thinking about 41 years of life from then to now, then thinking back again . As Nile said, "I don't want to live in the past, but it's a nice place to visit." Thank You Sheila, Thank You Nile, Thank you for still being here for us.

@@krambam1 Fantastic to hear this, I was only twelve in 1979 but already recognised what a genius Nile is. His work with Chic and Sheila are just two examples of his superb work with talented artists. Those were such happy years, less technology but so much more freedom and a much greater sense of community than now. Thank you so much for this recording.

OMG! I'm guessing Sheila is in her 70s and still looking as beautiful as she was when I saw the original video and stage performance of this song. It brings back a lot of memories! Until recently, I didn't know she was French. And nice to see her hear with Chic and Nic Ranger. GOD, do I miss the 1980s (though I know this song actually came out in 1979)!

Spot the difference....This song was INSTANTLY recognised on the first note yet this song is from 1979! Now take modern noise whoops I meant music for the most you can play the entire warble and still not recognise it even though it was released yesterday.

I was lucky enough to See Nile and Chic at the height of the "Good Times" craze, its was on a venue that would built on an artificial island at Toronto's (Canada) harbourfront, ppl where swimming across the channel to get to it because the promotors underestimated demand by about 10 times, literally, crazy times!

Number #44 US dance chart #28 US R& B chart in part Due that Chic produced four album in 1979/80 notably Sister Sledge “love somebody today “ Chic fourth album “real people “ & the huge selling multiplatinum album “Diana “For Diana Ross ....True Sheila does nt sound that great but who cares. Just to see them with Reunited in Paris is awesome. That song has become a disco anthem with some many remixes ...Mr Rodgers has class and a hell of musician. ... well done sir !

Sheila est, et reste une valeur sûre dans le Show Biz actuel, et sur scène avec Nile elle prouve qu'elle sait encore être présente et donner le maximum au public. Ici avec Nile c'est juste magique on sent bien la complicité et l'amitié qui lient ces deux grands artistes internationaux. J'attends avec une grande impatience le fruit de leur nouvelle collaboration 'The Law of Attraction".
J'espere que The law of attraction sera à la hauteur du nouveau titre Oh la la offert par Keith Olsen à Sheila (ils avaient collaboré en 1981 sur le formidable album Little Darlin')

Hola, soy de Perú y estoy viendo una espectacular actuación de Chic junto a la cantante francesa Sheyla interpretando el tema Spacer del grupo sheyla B. Devotion de 1979. Como un dato para los amantes de la buena música les recuerdo que en 1969 fue la cantante original del tema Fernando en su idioma francés, el cual al año siguiente fue versionado por Los Diablos de España con el nombre de Un rayo de sol, su superexito internacional. Thanks; I am well aware of Bernard Edwards was a major part of Chic's initial success.. I have been a huge Chic fan since I first danced to the 12" version of "Everybody Dance" on a dance floor in the late '70s. My favorite bass-line by Bernard is on the track "My Forbidden Lover" but he was mind-boggling on many others. I can't wait for Chic's new album after getting "I'll Be There".

I actual saw the original band even with Luther Vandross back in the day live and since I worked at a music store I was one of the first to hear spacer and other lesser known CHIC produced tracks
I have only recently heard the Johnny Mathis and Fonzi Thorton tracks
supposedly there may be some other unreleased tracks like Aretha Franklin

Yes, Nile produced Johnny Mathis and also Carly Simon. Carly's single "Why?" got a little traction in my area, but I don't remember hearing Johnny's single at all. Nile has certainly had a long and wondrous career! I wish he would do something with the great Kevin Saunderson and Inner City; that would be a dance-floor match made in heaven. I still hit the dance floor, and it's been awhile since I've heard anything new since Avicci that's blown my mind.
Bernard produced a lot but had a family to put first, like Jody Watley, Robert Palmer, Rod Stewart, Distance, I think the power Station, possibly Midnight Star I forgot?
I used to listen to the Chic Produced Carly Simon and Teddy Pentergrass and Fonzi Thorton on the Soup for one CD promo I had years ago. Good Stuff.
We all anxiously await the next Chic albilm hopefully he will have a lot of guess artist, maybe even Daft Punk?
