Totally agree re mo's fitness...with the way he looks after himself he could possibly maintain his incredibly high levels for another 2 or 3 seasons, esp if the rumoured switch to a slightly more central role materialises
We saw how Liverpool set up in the second half, with Endo, how they'll consolidate matches and tie things up by creating space, slowing the passage of play down and make longer passes compared to the pinball that Liverpool will play in building and attacking phases, as was done in the first half. I've noticed commentators seeming to think Slots two halves against Arsenal weren't intentionally different, but that doesn't sit with how Slot appears to function, he looks like he knows what he wants and when he wants it. I guess we'll only know for sure once the season's up and running.
Nailed it. Chatting with some Feyenoord fans on Twitter and Reddit. They themselves said said Slot has no issue going uber controlling when there is a leader worth defending for periods of play.
We need a top quality defensive midfielder and another CB and depending on the LB position possibly changes there too. Will be interesting to see if we bring in another attacker once Gakpo and Nunez return to pre season and Slot weighs them up.
Just some friendly info about the front office. Michael Edwards is no longer the director of football. That’s Richard Hughes. Edward’s has no say on transfer signings. His job is about expanding LFC portfolio and FSG portfolio. Hence why FSG was semi interested in signing Bordeaux. FSG will 100% buy another club sometime within the next 1/2 years. That was one of Edward’s main reason of coming back. He is looking at City, Utd, Red Bull etc and seeing how the owners have multiple teams around the world that can be used as filter clubs. Julian Ward also came back and his job is to work in the academy and making it the best in the world. So yes while it’s amazing business by LFC to bring back Edward’s and Ward, they don’t have the same jobs as they did previously. Now Hughes is someone that is brilliant. People will laugh about how he came from Bournemouth but take a second and look at that club and how it’s been ran the past few seasons and some of the players they have brought in. That’s why LFC wanted him. So while LFC have no signed anyone this summer yet, the biggest bit of business has already been done, bringing back Edward’s and Ward and bringing in Hughes. Also Arne Slot has a system that will better suit this squad and I don’t think there is going to be a massive drop off from Klopps team to Slots team. I don’t think instant success but I think LFC could easily finish top 4 this season.

For me the only transfer I want is Schlotterbeck, if Bajcetic plays the 6 I’m cool with that. And if Gordon comes that would be really good but Schlotterbeck is my number 1 target, we’re gonna need to replace Virgil one day and he will play bc Robbo is consistently injured these days and he can move into the CB once Virgil’s time is up. Also just get him in this season bc he’s gonna get better and that price is gonna go up.

Am a lifelong Liverpool supporter btw - and have a healthily competitive respect from MU (just don't like the player power and "reluctance to play for the manager" by nonsense that's been going on). Good luck next season ;-)
I hope LFC are able to sign a really good DM and a very good left-footed LB. I'd also like a left-footed W, but only if a really good option is available. I was broken-hearted to see Califiori (sp?) sign w/MU because he was my dream candidate at LCB. BTW, Alice, this was the best video I've seen on LFC all summer. Thank you so much for your stellar content. 💖
"You just want to make sure you do the right signings. Which can be the right approach sometimes" - Maybe Man United should try it? Thanks for another good Liverpool video, Alice.
Gordon, outside he is a LFC fan, is a weird one. We have an overabundance of LWs already, and truthfully Gakpo, Diaz, Jota and Nunez are all best from this position. Of course it happened that Mané changed from right to left to accommodate when we bought Salah, it is not really an area we should be looking at firstly. Acquisitions is a hard one for us. We renewed our midfield last season and a lot of academy players coming through, and we overhauled our attack 2 seasons ago. With Matip(and Thiago) leaving it would be most obvious with a CB, although we have gotten Sepp into the lineup and he was one of the best defenders in Germany last season. Every bought player, would mean game time will lessen for some players that are already looking for more game time. People argue we need a no. 6, but we have Endo and Bajcetic, while several are able to field the holding role. We have Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones, Elliott, Gravenberch, Endo, Bajcetic already vying for play time.
I think I speak for a lot of people here' she has wasn't that good 2 years ago but now she has raised the game by analysis and by being unbiased' she really knows the game' honestly what really impressed me was she's an eagle players like the goalkeeper jaros who came in second half magnificent she's on that
If we get a forward, i really hope its a left footed forward. We currently only have Salah and, if you want to play him there, Elliott. Everyone else, including Doak, is right footed. So i would prefer Kudus, if hes happy to be a rotation option, or Bakayoko who is very young and has lots of potential. Even if we sell Diaz our LW is still stacked - Nunez, Gakpo, Jota, Carvalho, and Doak can all play there
John Henry features in the film "Moneyball" more than any other owner he's known how to get the right players for the right money since the idea was invented...
personally, I would put Trent in the double pivot with macalister start Bradley at rb then find a young backup for rw and left cb and keep gomez as Bradley's backup at rb
I disagree about Hincapie, he is very physical. When he decides to tackle, the dude tackles hard. He is lacking in aerial prowess that's why I don't think Liverpool will for bid him at all.
I have to say that you are wasted on RUclips Alice, even though you support United I actually prefer to see what you have to say over some of our own pundits. keep up the good work.
Wow. Liverpool fan here and I've been through some of your Slot vids. Very good insights. I depth evidence based options and discussions. Keep up the good work even if you're a united fan 👏👏
It will all come down to injuries and if rivals improve or not. Arsenal and MC will be the top 2 and if Liverpool keep VVD and Jota fit they should be looking at 3rd. Jota being injured last season was a massive blow, as soon as he was out after the Brentford game we ended up relying on an out of form Salah and the enigma that is Nunez. Big season for him.
Gordon would mean Diaz is leaving imo. Pointless otherwise as Liverpool have so many options already in that position. If he doesn’t ask to leave Sepp has to stay. His stats and improvement have been noticeable in the last few years and it won’t slow down anytime soon.
Interesting to see Glen Kamara on the list, as a follower of finnish national team I think he’s a really good player but perhaps not enough for that step
I would prefer schlotterbeck of the 5 options for LCB-LB. And maybe for an extra forward , also a German ; Niclas Füllkrug. Not the youngest but a allrounder can shoot with both feet and Re also a good header of the ball.
Good video and im interested if we do any business wont surprise me if we dont Liverpool don't really be busy in th le transfer window but we will see what happens 👏👏👏

Well researched as usual. Keep up the good work.
Only a matter of time before you’re on the telly. You REALY know your stuff.👍🏼
"You just want to make sure you do the right signings. Which can be the right approach sometimes" - Maybe Man United should try it? Thanks for another good Liverpool video, Alice.
First watch - fantastic analysis - the best I've seen on YT 👌
I think I speak for a lot of people here' she has wasn't that good 2 years ago but now she has raised the game by analysis and by being unbiased' she really knows the game' honestly what really impressed me was she's an eagle players like the goalkeeper jaros who came in second half magnificent she's on that
DM.... Stiller and varela the top as my options
Even if we sell Diaz our LW is still stacked - Nunez, Gakpo, Jota, Carvalho, and Doak can all play there
Really impress by your research and presentation
John Henry features in the film "Moneyball" more than any other owner he's known how to get the right players for the right money since the idea was invented...
Kudus is the obvious best choice as an up front addition.
personally, I would put Trent in the double pivot with macalister start Bradley at rb then find a young backup for rw and left cb and keep gomez as Bradley's backup at rb
The effort she puts in her content, wow!!!
Super Fan!
U opened my eye .....stach and alexiz ❤
You're probably the ONLY United fan I actually like 👋👋👋👋👋👋
You should have your own show! Panel and all!
Keep up the good work.Hope you reach marks level fame, you deserve it
How have a sky or TNT not snapped you up??
Useful analyzing, thanks
Anthony Gordon to Liverpool would be a kick in the gut for Everton.
Always talking sense. Great video again
Id swap Diaz for Gordon in a heartbeat. Also liked the midfielders you suggested.
Gordon would mean Diaz is leaving imo. Pointless otherwise as Liverpool have so many options already in that position.
If he doesn’t ask to leave Sepp has to stay. His stats and improvement have been noticeable in the last few years and it won’t slow down anytime soon.
Brilliant insight
'Planned', is the key word here. There is a chance nothing will come of any of it.
Great analysis again.
Its because she is unbiased and good at what she does
Interesting to see Glen Kamara on the list, as a follower of finnish national team I think he’s a really good player but perhaps not enough for that step
Alice a very impressive review, you would be very welcome as a Liverpool
Great analysis thank you. YNWA 😉
Micheal Edwards needs to sign Alice for LFC an analyst role!
Yeah, we had huge 'plans' last season too🙄
I would prefer schlotterbeck of the 5 options for LCB-LB. And maybe for an extra forward , also a German ; Niclas Füllkrug. Not the youngest but a allrounder can shoot with both feet and Re also a good header of the ball.
Hhahahahhahaha
Fullkrug at Liverpool, seriously.
Good video and im interested if we do any business wont surprise me if we dont Liverpool don't really be busy in th le transfer window but we will see what happens 👏👏👏
I would get Dani Olmo for the 10 position, Pacho for CB, Stiller and Julian Alvarez
i dont mind selling Darwin
