    Hey everybody!
As most of you hopefully know, I'm working on a CD. I was planning on not making any more videos until it's finished, but then I got the sheet music to this song. Well, if you've listened to it already you can understand that I couldn't just have the sheet music and do nothing about it. This has been one of my favorite arrangements since I first heard it sung by Vocal Spectrum, and I have no idea how I managed to pull this off. This is some ridiculously challenging music, and if it were possible for me to respect the guys in VS any more than I already do, learning and singing this piece would do it, because for them to sing this live is just insane.
I put a lot of work into this video over the last few weeks and it would really mean a lot if you would like it and share it with your friends and family.
If you're interested in downloading the audio it's available at
    danwright32.bandcamp.com
If you haven't already donated money to help me cover the cost of copyright fees for my CD, it would be really appreciated, and everyone who donates $20 or more gets a free copy when it's released.
I know I mentioned it in the links at the beginning, but I do sell learning tracks. If you're interested just head on over to my website:
    www.wrighttracks.com
and fill out the contact form. You can also go to my facebook page and send me a private message if you would prefer to do that.
    Thank you for watching!
And sorry about my attempt at an Aladdin Costume.. it's the best I could do. Although I do like the fez... fezzes are cool.
    -Arranged by Aaron Dale-

It's fine to express an opinion, but you could try and show a little consideration & appreciation for Dan's work. This is a very long and difficult arrangement that took dozens of hours to learn, record and edit. And you just got to watch this for free.
You're not watching TV here, this is a dude just like you making quality music on his spare time to entertain you. Even if it were autotuned, there's always a nice way to express your opinion. No reason to be impolite.

I've been fortunate to sing barbershop for many years in some really good quartets and also with several National Champion quartets. I've been blessed to have had the pleasure of singing with Jokers Wild, Fred, Nightlife and several others that I'm now forgetful of but I am very impressed with your sound and syncopation on this piece. It would be nice if you would do one of the old Bluegrass medley's like Jukebox Saturday night , I told them all about you or Lazy River if you get a chance. I've sung all of them including The Gospel Medley and any of them I think would fit you well. Bluegrass Student Union was before my time but one of my all time favorites. Us old guys would appreciate it.

Guys. Sometimes when you're singing a song that only has your voice in it, it sounds a bit like autotune because of the fact that all the voices together have the same color and there isn't much variety in terms of the sound of the voices. But that doesn't mean it isn't fantastic. Great job again Dan~.

Hey man, Vocal Spectrum is the absolute best Barbershop in the world. The fact that you'd attempt one of their songs is really bold, but you did a FANTASTIC job on it. I've heard many guys multitrack themselves on RUclips, but you are right up there with the Nick Piteras and "FineyLeees" of this world.
Truly incredible stuff man, keep up the good work!

Thank you! and just so you know, yes there is. A cappella encompasses all genres of unaccompanied singing. Barbershop is a subgenre of a cappella. Basically, all barbershop is a cappella, but not all a cappella is barbershop.

Melodyne is another pitch-correction tool that visually displays notes, where you can adjust the pitch, note length, formant, and many other aspects. Most learning track sellers (including Tim) use it, as it allows for perfect pitching and note alignment for speedy turnaround of track orders. You can see more about its features on RUclips (search for Direct Note Access Melodyne)

Dayum! That's must have been quite a challenge, probably your toughest one yet. Great flow, lots of fun to watch. Well done. Your outfit looks swell too!
PS: The high parts work very well with your voice, but the low bass notes still sound a little artificial to my ears. Vocal Spectrum already has a freakish range and this arrangement pushes all the voices to their limits, so tackling this with the one man multitrack style is quite a feat!

To everyone who's saying it's autotuned, it isn't autotuned. If you've ever listened to a quartet that is really together in their harmonies, this is what it sounds like. They say family harmony is as good as it gets but self harmony is even better. It sounds a bit like autotune because it is so close in frequency.

Awesome job... Here is an idea for you to consider. Go on America's Got Talent. Bring a screen and a projector. Have three of you on the screen and you would be the fourth voice live on the stage. You could then move left or right to take the place of one of the three on the screen. This way you could showcase all four positions and vocal parts live... Good Luck!

And I just said "you are just looking for a reason to put him down when you know you couldn't do half of what this amazing guy can!" Random Fact of the day: Most auto tune is actually used to affect the TONE of the voice being processed, not quite as much the pitch. It affects the pitch slightly, but only for the better.

It was a refreshing take on the Disney A Cappella phenomenon that seems to be storming RUclips. I think you certainly have the talent to be a top contender. when you use your pitch determinant make sure you waver / pan the pitch slightly. Do not leave them as unisons, in the same oscillation pattern (they eventually cancel each other out anyways leaving that tinny robo feel). On voice, go up 0.05, then the next, 0.07, then the others -0.05 and the final one make it like a -0.10 because the bass has more 'wavering room' due to the size of the larger sound waves. If you take the four parts out of 'unison' due to the digital pitch-determinant, it will be almost indiscernible. So very talented and suuuuuper cute.
