      Learned over the years of doing it that quickly being able to walk around and set pins before lowering your decks saves a few minutes

    Awesome video man! thank you so much for the wealth of knowledge you share on your page. Do you mind doing a video on your trailer inspection as it pertains to preventative maintenance as well as things to look out for on your car hauler trailer? Nobody seems to have information that I can find on maintaining the life of your 9-10 car hauler. Thanks!!!

    Great video sir, really help understand the operations of a highrail, I would love to learn the highrail, but I love my 80 footer quick loader and would hate to give it up. But thank you for the video! Safe travels!

      Thanks yes I’ve considered very strongly in requesting a 80ft especially when I get a load of trucks. And every time I’m ready to ask and make that jump they hit me with 3-4 back to back 10/11 car loads and I’m like damn nvm I’ll stay in this. 🤷‍♂️

      @@CarcarrierTv lol yea those extra units on that check will change your anyone mind real quick.... i try to get a ten car load out of Baltimore but they only had the 9 going to the one dealership. But I'm going to try next time......oh a headband or sunnyhat help to keep the sweat out your eyes ,coming from an experience balding guy here........lol😅

      Yea I have a few bandannas that I keep in the truck when it’s really hot out. Once you start doing the bigger loads you won’t go back. Figure the first time it’s gonna take you an extra hour for that one car but once your a few loads onto 10/11 car loads it takes me about 5 minutes longer per car I can load 9 in about 40min if I’m not walking to find my cars 10 maybe 45-50 min it’s 4 extra straps 4 extra pins and 1 extra deck that’s the way you gotta look at it

      Car carrier Tv Yea, it the pickup trucks that kinda worry me. I watch some guys load up and just wonder if I want to deal with that......

      If you do a lot of trucks the quick loader is a lot faster but that being said once you have it down with a high rail you can be fast with that as well. We just can’t get out doors easily lol

    Those high rails are super functional but they're definitely a lot of work. I drive the CX6 and it takes a lot of the adjustments out of loading/unloading.

    Great informative video. You should do a comparison or a timelapse video of loading a basic 9 car load then one with all pickups and having to split deck. Way different methods to load. Think i just ran my biggest load on this highrail with 4 tundras, 2 Tacomas, and a corolla going to Cedar Falls, IA.

      That’s a good load which way did you load it? Are you a day cab or sleeper? As for me I would have loaded Tacoma then 3 tundras then behind the cab corolla tundra Tacoma and called it a day

    Just curious. Why do you guys put the first car on top backwards? I have wondered this for years. Seen a truck in Joplin Mo the other days with brand new Cadillac Escalades on it. With that plastic spoiler thing they have sticking out the back. Seems it would be better for the car and truck to pointing towards the wind.

      For aero dynamics purposes yes it would probably be better to pull on but you back on because the roof over the windshield and hood is lower so you back on the make height. And sadly I doubt pulling it on would do much of anything for fuel mileage because all the different angles that cars are loaded all over the truck and trailer. I have always described these things like driving a giant parachute

    If your working off central Dispatch do u recommend a sleeper with a 5307 cotrell or is a 9 car stinger always the best choice due to more capacity? Thanks

      Depends on what your hauling most of it’s lots of door to door household deliveries 7 car.
      Dealership work 9
      New car cars and SUV’s 9
      New car trucks big Mercedes bmws lexus probably 7 because that’s all you can haul anyways.
      But really I’d say 90% of the time 9 car all the way especially if you can swing a 80ft quick loader. I’ve been a high rail stacker type of guy always but these 80ft trucks with their extra space and then dot now allowing us 4 ft overhang off the front of the truck and 6ft off the back unless your always doing 10-11 car loads those 80ft trucks have made all other trailers virtually obsolete.

    I've looked into hauling cars. But I get nervous with how you position the cars. I know there's money to be made in hauling cars. Also being in mn we don't have alot of the big name companies like united road, cassens, or H&A. Great video man i learned alot

      Positioning will change year to year as they change styles and sizes of vehicles but it’s a learned art. Your first few months you won’t make much more then you do hauling van trailers because of the time it’ll take you to load but as you learn and get better yes you’ll make a ton. Now as for United road they might not have a yard up there but they have loads that go there so if they are hiring up there they will hire ppl that live up there. If you decide to make the jump let me know I’ll give you the numbers to call and who to talk to

      Mostly to help get down to height but sometimes depending on the load a vehicle it can be for door openings so you can get out or to move weight around. The motor is the heaviest part of the vehicle. But mostly for height the hood and windshield are normally the lowest part of the vehicle so if you back it on and tilt it so the top of the hood and the roof is at the same height makes it the lowest you can go. Also normally you try to tilt the trunk over the hood of the car below it so if you back the car on top on then you’ll normally pull the car on underneath it.

      I think I have a couple on here it’s easier to do unloading vlogs then loading because a lot of places we load have no videoing policies

    I noticed you gave up your truck to go company driver. Is it more profitable for you Please?

      I wouldn’t say more profitable per say because there’s lots of things that can make either much more profitable. An owner op will normally make more at the end of the year then a company driver but not always. So you have to weight the pros and cons company driver less freedom of when and where you wanna work but owner op has a bigger work load and more stress. Also a company driver has a very defined top of the pay spectrum where an owner op the sky is the limit. For me the choice really came down to awesome health insurance and less stress being a company driver the only thing I have to worry about is getting the load delivered on time and damage free. URS has AMAZING benefits and my lack of stress has me here for as long as they will let me stay. There’s not enough good things I could say about this place. I can 110% I love it here. So I hope that answered your question. I don’t want to say exactly what I make publicly but I will say my life has done nothing but get easier since I joined the team.
