It makes me so sad and frustrated that these types of shows / "debates" normalize these "two sides" as being both valid. Can we stop normalizing bigotry and actually debate things and come to middle ground on issues that don't cause death? Like, should this highway be expanded or should we put money into public transportation? Should I give this money to this one particular school that is older and needs to be upgraded or should I split it out over multiple schools that could use updated supplies? But "are gay people gross?" "is abortion murder?" presents these as valid questions to be discussed, and they just aren't. Great video, hilarious commentary on a very sad subject. Thank you for bringing levity and actions that can be taken in and recognizing the harm that religion has caused so many of us in so very many forms.
This. You can have a different opinion than me when it comes to flavors of ice cream or what books you like. You don’t get to have opinions on my rights as a human being
I wonder how long it's going to take for some people to realize that the main reason why they can't be who they are is because of religious trauma? Religion is obviously a coping mechanism, but like most coping mechanisms, it stunts important developmental accepts of your psychology. Reasoning and critical thinking are affected by religious beliefs. The ability to accept and be at peace with the realities of life like death, which helps you appreciate your life and the people you have in your life. Self-actualization, self-acceptance, and self-love are impossible for a religious person. A former friend dated men for most of her dating career, and then she dated a woman for a few years. Even after being in a relationship with a woman, she couldn't accept that she's bisexual because she believed that it would mean that she was a "sexual deviant." Our friend group is a mixed bag of different sexual orientations, so we were taken aback by that statement. Ultimately, we learned that her religious upbringing was doing a number on her because now she's ashamed of her former relationship and acts weird when she's attracted to another woman.
@@stutter_box You're welcome!! I just discovered your channel and the catwoman video was the point where I was like, "OH. Oh wow, I'm in for another content rabbit hole!" 😅 If you're wondering why they all have one additional thumbs up after months, it's me haha, and probably many more people any time soon!
Every time I paused to rant to myself about the dumb shit these folks were saying, I hit play and you have the SAME thoughts I did LOL I liked this, this was good. More of these, please 🥰
that young black kid who said he might be trans was kinda heartbreaking. he looks like he's trying so hard to follow the rules and be this thing the people around him deem acceptable. i have a cousin who dated the same gender in high school and then became full on fundamentalist and it's so so sad because we all supported her when she came out. it was the community she got ensnared with after graduating that taught her shame in who she was.
I'm not religious, but some Bible passages strike a chord with me. For example, Job 13:15 -- Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him [ Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him].
The same section of the bible that contains the mistranslated passage that some Christians use to justify their hate also contains a passage that says trimming your beard is a sin. If the bible is infallible then this implies that the guy in the video who is condemning gays is sinning by wearing his facial hair in a goatee. If being gay is genuinely an option for you, spoilers: you're repressing your bisexuality.
I agree with your point about lesbian sex scenes shown on media are mostly used to appeal to man …. Not a true reflection…. I wish they do the same for gay sex scenes but rarely happens 😂
Let me throw in this discussion a Statement I saw in an Instagram reel: the fact that I (female) am STILL attracted to men is proof, that s@xual orientation is no choice!!! I really really wish I was able to change that....
Eesh that was hard to hear..the repressed people.. life is so short and they can't enjoy it at all.. people really do complicate their lives.. But in a way I get it too.. as an immigrant I always wanted to pass as a local to avoid getting bullied when I was a kid.. so that may have been engrained in them.. that if they fake it enough they won't get hurt.. maybe by family or their surroundings.. You either stand proud and face the backlash or hide in fear.. It's also society's responsibility to make it a safe environment for all, so no one has to feel the need to hide or try to change themselves.
I don't care what others do. If they want to try and deny homosexuality to themselves, them that's their choice. I'm not here to convince anyone. I make my own choices.
Holy shit my hand looks exactly the same way. Broke my fingers when I was younger and never had them set properly and now it's all janky when I try to make a fist.
It’s a lot easier to circumvent when I’m talking to myself (though it’s still there in very small doses). Put me in a social situation with people I don’t know and the stutter is all you’ll hear 😅
7:43 please quote those scriptures. Please pull out and show me EXACTLY where it says a man and a man and a woman and a woman can't be together. SHOW me those "multiple" scriptures. Quote them. Can't. CUZ THEY DON'T EXIST.
Ultimately, it’s important that we try to understand things like traumas, mental health, insecurities, sociology, fluidity, paraphiliacs, preference and the gender, sexual, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum. People understanding those things is what’s most important. As far as the “choice” thing, at this point it’s time to move on from caring about what is or isn’t a “choice”. Even if it was a “choice” for some people, that’s also their right to choose. While I’d rather someone stay closeted or be quiet “ex gay” than be a loud and constantly problematic and hateful “pick me” queer.

Exactly!
I’m not gay but my grandson is and I love him no matter what. It’s nobody’s business (and certainly not mine) who anyone wants to love.
“Former lgbtq” you know 🐓 speaks to him like the green goblin mask
This channel fucking rocks! You are hilarious, sir! So unfiltered and dark, love your humour! Hope you go far!
Thank you so much 🫶🏻

Thank you for making this video
tbh why do we have to hear out religious arguments in the first place?? They are observably not based in reality. It feels like such a non sequitur

Honestly my new favourite RUclipsr (I love unhinged gays 😭🖐️) (you reminds v much of Brad Evans)
Another youtuber I watch religiously!

2:26 did not know being gay gave you super powers 😂
4:05 😂😂😂
Gawd, if you and Caelan Conrad collabed, I would evaporate in joy
I can only hope! 🤞🏻
wait that would be SO iconic
Is being straight a choice?
Yes. A bad one 😆
You hide that stutter well. Is it diminished when you're hosting/presenting compared to 'normal talk'?

Hey, whatever works best for you man. You're loved. Keep making the vids!!!@@stutter_box
fellow stuttering gay here. mine is definitely worse in social situations with new people too. so happy i found your channel.

Was thinking the exact same thing. I’m disappointed no one asked
