So many questions. Why a robo taxi before a car that can drive itself to a charging station (and charge itself) or pick me up from the airport or my kids from school? Why would I buy a normal non autonomous Tesla if these are the “dream”. Will any of this happen before the Chinese invasion of better cheaper EV’s?
the CEOs of Toyota, Mercedes, Ford or GM?? These brands don’t have the talent or the skillset and the data to even remotely start what Tesla is already on its way to achieving: level 5 autonomy utilizing computer vision. Delays are understandable; it’s a massive project and it’s just recently that AI has undergone rapid acceleration and growth in processing power, compute, and enhanced models. Tesla is lightyears ahead in this game than its competitors (with the exception of Waymo), it’s not even funny. While Waymo is geofenced and only able to operate within the confines of the cities/towns it is deployed, Tesla FSD will be traversing interstate highways with flawless effectiveness and safety and the improvements are a continuing process since Tesla is an AI/robotics company.
It’s not a matter of the quality of the idea but it’s the execution. Eroding Public Trust is the biggest problem Tesla & Elon will continue to have for the rest of his life.
Tesla has solved FSD. It's at east as good as any other provider for instance Waymo, which needs frequent back office ibterventions. Robotaxi should be 99% autonomous. Once it gets used to those corner cases, it will be 5 9s reliable.
TSLA stock forward PE is almost 100 with almost no growth from EV's but somehow everyone thinks that robotaxis will create 20% growth. Yet NVDA with 30 PE and CURRENTLY has growth over 25% gets talked down on a daily basis. Also hasnt WAYMO been operating robotaxis already in major cities like SF.
You realize that Tesla has other earnings sources, like energy storage and battery manufacturing? Waymo is an HD mapped, geofenced party trick. It will be extremely costly and time consuming to get to scale. You can't take a waymo and put it in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and tell it to drive. FSD is usable anywhere.
The key difference that will enable TSLA to outshine the competition is software. This advantage will allow it to surpass all competitors by reducing costs and increasing revenue. It’s astonishing how many people doubt Musk. They don’t understand. Do you think Musk would invest time in a sector of his company only to let competitors outperform him or his product? Consider this-being second in anything doesn’t generate profit. Do you think Musk is going to pour in so much money and effort just to be second? Think about Uber vs. Lyft, Amazon vs. Walmart, NVDA vs. AMD… you get the idea
It's a tough one for investors because this tech may never work in the field, or it may be a revolution. How do you price that? Personally I think we've seen enough from FSD to know that real autonomy will require changes to the driving environment and the law, with buy in required from national and local authorities.
I hope Elon showers me with the filthiest of empty promises tomorrow. Like, I want to be so drenched with empty promises that I need a Trump bible to dry me off

@@ricomajestic My guess, which is as meaningless as yours, is that eventually robotaxi will cost about $1/mile. Car ownership is at least $.60/mile, and for young people it's more due to the high cost of insurance. I think people will be willing to pay a slight premium to avoid the hassle of car ownership. Even though EVs are cheaper to maintain than ICE, you still have to charge it, which is problematic for many city dwellers. You may have to pay extra to rent a parking space. If you purchase a house, the garage adds tens of thousands of dollars to the cost of the house. Not everyone has immediate access to a subway, and not everyone has a five minute commute.

EM is a genius and has created the most technologically advanced car company in the world. they are also the most valued auto company in the globe, and it's not even close. over 2 times greater than #2, Toyota. from FSD, to the RoboTaxi, to the SEMI, to Optimus, to DOJO, to his far, far superior manufacturing processes, EM has created something that none of you haters could ever dream of. your jealousy and black hearts are showing your true colors. it matters not. EM is one of the richest people in the world and he's making me rich as well.
Thank you EM - I became a millionaire because of you. I bought my first position in 2018 when I saw EV's being driven all of the city...

The biggest thing I'm curious about and I love some input is how are we gonna jump from L2 to L4 within a year without even talking to regulators not one regulator has been contacted about the Robo taxi - do you really think any Elon's biggest market which is Callie that he's just gonna start pushing out Robo taxis?

And Waymo isn't even close...

EVIL ELON HAS SOLD HIS SOUL TO the DONALD TRUMP CULT!!!!
Tesla has solved FSD. It's at east as good as any other provider for instance Waymo, which needs frequent back office ibterventions. Robotaxi should be 99% autonomous. Once it gets used to those corner cases, it will be 5 9s reliable.
Stock at $420 taking company private funding secure
Make me laugh
Last I check Tesla PE ratio was around 67 and nividia was around 61, From where you got 100 and 30 PE ratio of that company?
The key difference that will enable TSLA to outshine the competition is software. This advantage will allow it to surpass all competitors by reducing costs and increasing revenue. It’s astonishing how many people doubt Musk. They don’t understand. Do you think Musk would invest time in a sector of his company only to let competitors outperform him or his product? Consider this-being second in anything doesn’t generate profit. Do you think Musk is going to pour in so much money and effort just to be second? Think about Uber vs. Lyft, Amazon vs. Walmart, NVDA vs. AMD… you get the idea
Factual. These guys have no clue yet they think they know better.
The other key difference is the 6M cars collecting data. The march of 9s is largely a data issue.

It's a tough one for investors because this tech may never work in the field, or it may be a revolution. How do you price that? Personally I think we've seen enough from FSD to know that real autonomy will require changes to the driving environment and the law, with buy in required from national and local authorities.
No national approval for Waymo, only state/local.

Some people can see the future, you obviously can’t

Why should I sell my car and have a robo taxi come pick me up every morning to my 5 minute commute to work and then take me shopping and to the supermarket, etc? Will the robo taxi charge me less than a dollar for that 5 minute trip because that is how much I pay in gas, insurance and car maintenance for those 5 minutes.
