The cutting can't grow under direct sunlight, it will cook them. Should've placed then in cool area with filtered light is OK, with good circulation. Plus, the roses from florist or supermarket engereed a certain way to make sure the cutting won't take to protect the copy right. You will have a better change of regrow from a pot of rose you purchase from a garden center, and let it grow a year to mature before taking cuttings. Often we see the rootlets developed in the water doesn't mean they will survive in soil, they are very tender and easily broken off during transplanting. Even if you didn't break them, those roots aren't strong enough to take the direct sun and putting mix because potting mix usually mixed in with fertilizers, the young rootlets are not ready for it yet.
Awesome video! thanks! !! one question, when you put the roses in water did you put the little powder that it comes with the roses or not!????? Gracias! 🌷🍁🍀🌹🌸🌻🌼🌺
The roses should be kept in moist or water constantly you put the stems on the counter you should have put them back into water until you're ready to put them in the soil
I'm cheap too...good thing to use for rooting cuttings are cheap plastic water cups...you can check my vid series for how i prep them for soil so they drain and don't hold water...and as i typed that...you talked of solo cups, lol.well...anyway...
heeyyyy I got some roses from Valentine's from my sweetie and my future sister in law gave me something for them from becoming Brown and stuff... so anyway my mom say some things growing from my roses and I was wondering what kind of acid that I am suppose to have for my roses?? I couldn't see it :(. please answer. thank you for the video!!!! I love my roses and want them to live
its called root hormone, you should be able to get it at most garden places, if not at lowes or home depot.. make sure you wear gloves.. let know if you need anything else :)
+Ruby Estrada Hey Ruby sorry got the late response :( we had a horrible storm that wiped them all away and i had other plants that almost didn't make it :( I will be buying more roses and making the same process. I will let you know what the outcome is :) have a wonderful day!!!
yep, means it was working, but we had gotten a hail storm that destroyed all of them and some of my other plants :( i have done this and yes it works great... My mom has done it too :) that is were i learned the trick :) i told the kids we are going to try it again in Aug.. I will let you know :)
SuprBoricua Aspie Thanks! And hope they stay hail free!! I remember my Aunt doing rose clipping more or less this way, but it never occurred to me to do it with store bought roses!!
loved the video. I would love to see the end result. My best part was when you said that squirrels can be bitches sometimes, hehehehehe, you made me giggle cause the ones around here have attitudes and dare to front you. Yo soy boricua tambien, pa que tu lo sepa. !!!so, ""Ariba corazones".
i bought the roses and all but one died with in 4 days :( but the one that did survive is sprouting a plant... not sure if that is worthy of video, unless you want me to make then i will :)
You should add affiliate links to your videos and then you could possibly makevlots make lots of money, if you dont know what an affiliate link is, an affiliate link is when you sell someone elses product using a link and you get commission. For example amazon gives 10% comission for every sale 😊
Hopefully you make the part 2 of this video showing if the plant root and how many survive and it become successful.
Cool idea! I wish we could see them now or a few months after you made this video to see how they're doing.
What a nice video and what a nice person to not throw away with flowers once they don't look as good...... You are my kind of person.... Thanks
Thank you so much!!!! I hope you have an amazing weekend :)
If the stems have already grown some roots than there is no need to cut down from below ... simply put them in the potting mix...
Did the roses grow? Any update?
It all died 🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂

Hey, thanks for this video, it's so helpful. I just have a question about the tops of the roses, do you have to cut the top off?
i cut some of the leave.. leave at least one so it can absorb the suns rays :)
Awesome video! thanks! !! one question, when you put the roses in water did you put the little powder that it comes with the roses or not!????? Gracias! 🌷🍁🍀🌹🌸🌻🌼🌺

The roses should be kept in moist or water constantly
you put the stems on the counter
you should have put them back into water until you're ready to put them in the soil
When you keep the rose stems in water, did you expose them to sunlight then ?

So did it ever rooted?
I saw another video that used honey and cinnamon as the routing source and others, don't use anything at all. I guess it depends where you live.
Magdalena Rodriguez you can just use water as you see they are already growing without stimulation now water and dirt is usually enough
heeyyyy I got some roses from Valentine's from my sweetie and my future sister in law gave me something for them from becoming Brown and stuff... so anyway my mom say some things growing from my roses and I was wondering what kind of acid that I am suppose to have for my roses?? you really don't want to touch that stuff.
Yeah, it may cause your fingers to grow roots!
you are so cool :) I hope you've got perfect Roses from these stems right now
:):)
So I'm curious, does a smiley face mean yes, they grew? Or did they die? There was no followup, and I too am wondering how this experiment worked!
yep, means it was working, but we had gotten a hail storm that destroyed all of them and some of my other plants :( i have done this and yes it works great... My mom has done it too :) that is were i learned the trick :) i told the kids we are going to try it again in Aug.. I will let you know :)

Great but Please use gloves when handling rooting powder. Don't get it all over your skin or use on a plate for eating. To learn why, see the label.
what happens?
Taylor Edwards 😂😂😂😂😂
You can just dip them into the jar of rooting hormones instead of touching it.
ahhhh good old progressives, treating us like children. let us learn the hardway and well never forget
Gel root enhancer is better
can't wait to see update
thank you for the info

Dont make videos from your phone
Annoying, yet informative.
lol
I'm trying it.
I suggest that you put on gloves.... the dirt and the hormone (chemical) can cause hazard to your health.....it looks dirty and unprofessional as well
