So I have a 16’ 1986 Alumaweld drift boat and I ripped out the original flooring last weekend. The floor sat on 3 stringers and curved with the bottom. All the older boats are built this way. It is taxing on your calves after a day of fishing on an incline floor. Watching these videos is helping me come up with a plan to level the floor forward of the front bench. Once I figure out how to level the floor without paying a welder an astronomical amount of money to tig weld more bracing on the bottom of the boat I will be figuring out how to make custom storage under the benches.
Yall should come down to Florida. You'd have a blast, especially where I'm at 15 minutes away from the Indian River lagoon, 30 from lake okeechobee, and countless canals, rivers, and ponds. Perfect for these tiny boats
I love my Suzuki 50hp, having trouble choosing a good prop though. Running a 15p stainless, only getting 34mph on my 1648. It’s running at 6800rpm but I can’t find a higher pitch to bring it to 6k
@@garywest2250 amazing. I don’t feel I get the power that the merc gets, but great on gas, It has to be close to the quietest motor ever made, and I’m overall very happy with it. If I buy a brand new boat, I’m getting a Suzuki to match it.
@@TinyBoatNation have a 25hp,elec start,trim/tilt on a 1448 flat bottom, very solid setup and ridiculously quiet. I am frequently asked, is that thing running? Is it electric or something I can't hear it 😂😂
@@TinyBoatNation I know y’all kits and I love what y’all put out there I grew up in a Jon boat and to have something like that is a dream but I don’t have the tools and to be honest the time I work 12hr days
You made a man who drove a long way very happy. Thank you guys!!!

What your crew can do in one day is amazing!
I grew up on the Illinois river water skiing, fishing and camping right in that area. Not the cleanest river, but I had a lot of fun.
Great work turned out great really good job y'all
Man that's a brilliant Job right there sick it's is I would love a boat like that loving the vids right now well done to the crew 🙂

It's on our priority list
Wish there was a TBN crew in Texas. I want my tiny boat to have the TBN treatment! Really good looking!
We are working on it!
Please do a series on how to convert a tiller style to a stick or wheel steer. I’d love to change my 14’.
A long awaited video
I need to watch your vids on adding carpet or sea deck to my John boat.
We have them
What?? Hehe have never seen a boat being steered with a stick, thats really cool! I thought it was just tiller or steeringwheel that was the option!
That's a great looking boat

How is it on gas? I'm getting a 60 for my 16' alumacraft. My etec failed me, big time.

That looks awesome good job
I’m still waiting to see the boat
Love the snow cameo
I'm in the process of repowering my boat with a 60hp Suzuki. My etec took a shit on me. I've heard nothing but good things about the Suzuki.
Love my zuki
Same

You stood us up for a kitchen?!?
@@TinyBoatNation unfortunately that and time plus I was forced to work Monday so that screwed me
Are you guys located in Illinois, great job on that boat.
Yes. Pekin Illinois
Thanks and yes
I have a 12 ft boat , like a row boat. I would like to make it more of a fishing boat.. I am up in Franklin Grove IL
Great job I love those front steering boats 👍
"this layout will work or it won't" son you plan all these builds out lmaoooooooo
No this is really one day.
Ok seriously how do I get a boat built by y’all I’m talking a minimum build I need help I live in Texas central Texas
It's a lot easier to DIY it we have specific kids that make it easy.

What was the length on this boat?
16
16
For $2k less and 70 pounds less I would've opted for the 30hp.
obviously the old timer doesn't care about speed/power as he drives it from the bow lol
Weight was a benefit in this case.
As to the question what the hell did you do to that boat you made it sexy
That turned out sexy
Do we really the stupid rap music while your testing the boat and engine. Like really!!!
