Midori and Miyako have different approaches. Midori is a very "textbook" shredder. She keeps her fingers very close to the fingerboard so there's no wasted movement, allowing her to burn up the neck. She also rotates her left hand perpendicular to the fretboard when she shreds to give her maximum reach. Miyako is more a "feel" player. She approaches the fingerboard more at an angle to give her more strength for deep bends. It's been said that being a classically trained concert pianist, she taught herself guitar. I've noticed her fingering choices can be a bit unorthodox at times. But that doesn't stop her from being able to play circles around me! The best song for call and response between the two is "Scream for Me". It's a real shred fest!

You want a shred off do Scream for Me, you want Asami dancing do Dancing with the Devil, you want to see the girls having fun with a guitar Keytar duet do Spellbound Live,
Ho ho the bassist is the leader of the pack and is responsible for the kind-of music they perform . A real metal head and the head banger . She has written and composed awesome thrashy songs ....Hammer of Wrath, Break the Wall , Thunder Vengeance and a host of other songs. So how could she be bored ? 🤔😎 Yeah she left the band in August 2021 for personal reasons. Anyways good reaction once again from your part . 🤘 So at last you did witness Miyako playing two instruments at a time....she is a genuis. They all are 🤘🐺 Glory to Lovebites 🤘🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Miho! Miho! Miho! 🤘🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi Bro! For an incredible harmony between the guitars, I suggest "we the united" and of a different keyboard participation oh Myako, "Spellbound Live Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021", those songs are really unbelievable. Salute from Brazil!!
Love this song. Love the hard rock vibe, great to see them change up genres a little. I can not play one instruments let alone two at the same time. Ya, the talent is incredible. Looking forward to see what they do next.
No one knows why Miho left the band. It caught everyone in the fandom off guard, and while both parties released a statement when it happened, there weren't a lot of specifics. The band immediately went on hiatus. During that time, they released the video for "Nameless Warrior" which contains live footage from their beginning to the Ride For Vengeance tour, Asami the vocalist got married and had a child, and Miyako the brunette guitarist also had a child and got married. Then the group released an instrumental audition track where they wanted bass guitarists to create their own bass line for it and submit a video of them playing along with the track. From that, a second phase would begin where those chosen would audition in person in Tokyo in July of 2022. From there would be a third round of in-person auditions in Tokyo in August of 2022, and now we're waiting to see who is picked.
Very true. BUT, we do have some clues. In Miho's farewell, she addressed dealing with the loss of her Father, whose IIRC was a Paramedic, and feeling a need to accomplish something in line with his life. And watching live videos since at least Daughters of the Dawn, where (I think it was that show and not 5 of a Kind) she broke down during"Journey to the Other Side", her tribute song to her father, she has seemed detached, and frankly as someone who has dealt with it all his life.. like someone fighting clinical depression, TBH. And yes, that is speculation, but I don't think it's off base. Combine that with the cancelled tours, enforced isolation of the Pandemic, and it honestly seemed more and more like she was losing her joy in playing. I might be totally wrong, and or there might be even more layers, but unless she decides to speak up on it (and Japanese artists have always been notoriously tight lipped about personal info in my experience. Probably a good idea as I have heard some stories about the stalker culture in Japan.. and it's not like you can really avoid folk on a small island). But all one has to do is focus on her eyes during this recording or a lot of the live shows from 2019 on, and you can see a LOT of pain in them.
@@bishopsteiner7134 I don't know, I kind of go in the other speculative direction--she wasn't happy with the direction of the band, which in the beginning was her vision. She hasn't abandoned music and is doing that DDS thing with Saki lately. I just think she is more or a thrash/traditional metal fan and the symphonic power metal direction they were/are heading wasn't her thing. I've also seen comments where people say she wasn't happy with Miyako (which could also be linked to band direction, actually), and that can be seen if you look at the last tour where they stay pretty far away from each other for the most part. That part could also be my vivid imagination running wild, too, but it sure seems like it.
@@bishopsteiner7134 I'm not interested in anyone's speculation. I've watched Miho during all six of their lives releases that have video and can't see anything during the first two that isn't there in the last four. Plus, I don't know Miho, and I'm not going to pretend like I do. As far as her having issues with Miyako or the direction of the band, huh? Again, more baseless speculation. Y'all are suffering from pareidolia and aren't any better than the Japanese guy who told me Miho was actually kicked out of the band because she was a bad/sloppy band leader but I wouldn't know that because I don't have access to Japanese sources (even though I do).
It seems to be true that Asami, Miyako, Midori, and Haruna all stopped Miho from leaving the band, so it would be a mistake to say that Miho was kicked out of the band. Miho said, "I'm leaving, but Haruna must stay", thinking about the future of lovebites. In a later interview with Miho, she said that overseas fans seem to require a high level of skill from Japanese players, and that I don't have that kind of skill. I think they were separated because of their musicality.
It's really strange that TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI hasn't posted a live video for the last three months. I'm looking forward to the possibility of Rina Hoshino.
The bassist? As mentioned before, Miho (the bassist) and Haruna (drummer) are who started this band, as they both came from a previous band called Destrose. She is a huge classic power metal/thrash metal fan. That is where LoveBites gets their influence from: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Testament, Megadeth, Slayer, etc. However, Miho left due to personal reasons, one of which is that her father passed away around a year ago, and she was really close to him. If I remember right, there was a song that they played live in which right after they finished, or even during the song, she broke down into tears, because it was dedicated to him. But she is never bored in this band. cases in point: react to Thunder Vengeance, Hammer of Wrath, or Break the Wall to see her seriously running around. Or even We the United.
It's really strange that Tokyo Groove Jyoshi, to which Rina Hoshino, who performed at the bassist audition, has not held a live concert for the past three months. Rina can technically take Miho's place. Rina is also acquainted with Miyako.
There’s only speculation on why Miho left but I’d be inclined to think she’d had enough of the business side of it. Someone took control of LOVEBITES from Miho and Haruna when they looked like they’d be big and I don’t think she was enjoying it anymore because of that. Midori or Miyako? Saki or Hazuki? Toki or Yoshi? It doesn’t matter really because Narumi and Yuki exist, and so does Li-Sa-X. We should just be happy they all play metal for us! Of all of these my favorite is Toki of Aldious and I’m sure no one would vote her the “best”. If I could only hear one of them play live ever again it would be Toki though, she’s something else.
Toki is the whole package Agree with you there Allan.. However, I also agree with your other statement.. "We should just be happy they all play metal for us!" Just loving my Japanese female rock and metal buzz.. Haven't been this excited about music since Lizzy, Maiden and Priest in the 80's
Greetings from WOLFPACK 🐺🇵🇱 POLAND 🇵🇱. They do a sick HELLOWEEN cover of "EAGLES FLY FREE " same live studio. You get more HARUNA. and SIC MIHO.. LUV'n yer jam. Much respect ✌️❤️ FROM POLAND 🇵🇱
Sad that Miho, the bassit left the band when she's the one that formed the band. Also, I haven't heard this track before and holy... they should include more backup vocals like this. That sounded amazing.
Nice to see them in nice & simple dressed. Just their daily life appearance. No gothic dark things. Musicianship.. absolute the best. All of them..👍👍🤘🤘🔥🔥 good bro.
come on dude. don’t give me that you haven’t seen this before. your guess can’t be that accurate. you guessing miyako playing the guitar with her left hand and the piano with the right. what do you think of us man. you saw this video previous to this reaction. lol
In fact, I will go as far to say, when doing the live streams (where I find new music)…if something stands out 20-30 seconds in…I stop it and write it down. Once it’s watched it’s not really a legit live real reaction. All 4000+ reactions I have on YT are 100% genuine and real. Never seen the video prior and 99% haven’t heard the song prior either. Have a great day Emmanuel 🤘
You want a shred-off? I'm sending you a link by email (I don't think it's currently up on youtube). Please check that. "Scream for me"--there are two versions and I'll send you the better one. But in my opinion, the two of them are so different it's hard to say one is better. Midori is faster, a more classic shredder. Miyako is more unconventional and experimental. That fact that they can mesh so well despite being so different in style and tone is what makes them exceptional.

During the same show live in studio, Lovebites covered : "Eagle fly free" (Halloween), better for me of original.
Been loving the reacts. If you want a shred-off then it's def Scream For Me. This studio concert, Live for Abyss, has an amazing version of the song.
I concur!😀 “Scream For Me” is a great shred off between Midori and Miyako!
Midori and Miyako have different approaches. Midori is a very "textbook" shredder. She keeps her fingers very close to the fingerboard so there's no wasted movement, allowing her to burn up the neck. I 100% agree with you.
Two guitar battles lead us to heaven🤩
Agree her soloing is a little different. Her solo in swan song shows her technique beautifully. The bends and vibrato for me is outstanding.
LOVEBITES - Burden Of Time lyrics:
Sleepless nights, with every passing day
I'm dreaming life away
Faceless moon, tell me, what would you say
If you could curse your fate
The daylight will die
Silent noise is ringing in my head
Killing me through the night
Scars might fade, but the pain will remain
Save me before the dawn
As days go by
I'm standing here
Still fighting it
One day I must change
(Don't waste your time)
Time is fair to everyone
(Don't waste your life)
Time and tide wait for no one
Don't ever be afraid to die young and live fast
(Don't waste your time)
Time is slipping away from us
(Don't waste your life)
Time keeps changing, and so do we
Live as if today was the last day
Starless nights, with every passing day
I'm swinging life away
An empty glass is falling down again
What's happening in my life?
The blood stains remain
Flames will ignite
Searching for the light
In this time
In due time
I'm standing here
Still fighting it
One day I must change
(Don't waste your time)
Time is fair to everyone
(Don't waste your life)
Time and tide wait for no one
Don't ever be afraid to die young and live fast
(Don't waste your time)
Time will never be the same
(Don't waste your life)
Time is running out too soon
Racing against the clock
But we can't escape from tomorrow
(Don't waste your time)
Time is slipping away from us
(Don't waste your life)
Time keeps changing, and so do we
Live as if today was the last day
