Pre Christmas, Hobby Lobby has 8-9 inch trees. I have several around my layout. You can use the stands they offer or drill a hole and jam them in, I've done both.

Cool Track! You could put some Bleacher on top of the Pit Garages, maybe. Indianapolis Motor Speedway uses them that way for the Moto GP & other Road Course Racing.

Question, do you have any power issues with all those lane changers? I need to add some on my track but I'm concerned about power.

No issues with lane changer power. Power can become an issue if your track gets too long. I have power taps on my track. But only in 1 location.
