- Watch my reaction LIVE on my first MVP card drop on official servers (iRO - classic). Orc Lord spawns every 2 hours with a 0.01% drop rate. The server is very competitive hunting him so this made it a lot more satisfying!
Orc Lord Card - Reflect 30% of all Physical Melee Damage back to the enemy which inflicted it.
I eventually sold it for Ghosting and Devilring Armor + 2B!

Ragnarok Online is Free to Play MMORPG based on Norse mythology. Ragnarok or "R O" which it is commonly referred as, is a top down game with 2D sprites in an immense 3D playground. It has more than 50 different jobs and 7 different classes to choose from and use in Player vs Player or Player vs Monster Content. Eventhough it was released more than a decade ago (2002), it is still one of it is still one of the best MMORPGs out there today!

I remember getting a Tao Gunka card drop on my first time hunting it with my brother.. We both cannot sleep thinking what we should do with it XD Such good times
What did you end up doing it?
The only MVP card which dropped for me and my friends was on Official Oceania (oRO) very early when the server first opened. We bumped into Baphomet while leveling and managed to kill him and were shocked that the card actually dropped! a problem was we were stuck behind my friend's ice walls. We tried to destroy her ice walls to pick up the card when a random priest happen to spawn from a teleport right next to the card, picked it up and teleported away... We were devastated. :( my friend caught the priest's name and tried to msg him but he blocked us and we later saw him in town selling the card. We were very sad and angry back then but I at least have the story to tell. That one incident didn't ruin the fond memories I have for this game.

I forgot all about this game. not having any money so I had to create a new account every two weeks for the free trail lol. this game was amazing 7 years ago. good soundtrack, amazing gameplay, and a random assassin named Jojo*~ that helped me level. dang I miss this game.
Jamiek Williams game is still amazing! Its just that private servers spread its player base. Still fun to solo tho haha!

My 1st Card not MVP but was Very Very Very Important
Ghostring Card and Bandana when it was priced like 100M in PRO Philippines Ragnarok it was the start of the journey to 2B.. Later on GTB and that was the greatest feeling and spelled the eternal love for RO
Orc Lord gave my first MVP card too. I play in iRO Renewal and man, I only get to visit this MvP every early morning when people are sleeping. One morning, I did my usual morning MvP rotation and I don't really expect MvPs to drop me a card AT ALL. I just went for the fun of hunting them. In Thor server, Orc Lord map is a hot spot due to being a WoE/PvP-centric server compared to Chaos Renewal that Orc Lord Card is really one of the most in-demand MVP armor cards. I've played RO since 2004 and only this year 2021 when I got my first ever MvP card. Guess what? 20 days later, I got a Mistress Card. Man, I'm on a roll. :p
I genuinely feel your happiness man. I had the same reaction and I stayed beside Orc Lord tomb for like 15 minutes after killing him, trying to absorb what just happened.

Damn son. That was god level lucky. In the current server I'm playing in; An Orc Lord card goes for 5k or 6k of my local currency.

Pheeroni and Stormy Knight card are the only MVP cards that I ever gotten from an Official server. Orc Lord card however, is next level.

back in my days, nobody could solo mvp. not even a mini boss. It was all teamwork

Azlan Sulaiman My Champion could solo Orc Lord and Eddga with Ashura Strike in pre renewal. but for Amon Ra, Osiris Dark Lord, we need a party. but now in rebewal, Orc Lord, Dark lord even Amon Ra can be defeated by solo player. I kill them every single day for wasting time.
Azlan Sulaiman and I don't even have cash item like Fallen Angel wing, only relly on +5 Reverse Katar with double +2 Agi enchantment, AGI Temporal Boots, +4 Diabolous Helm with Nightmare cards, +4 diabolous armor with Ancient Mimic card ( this card is special, boost agility so much) , +4 Skinworm with Baphomet Jr Card, wuth combination of Cold heart and Rogue's treasure as accessory (the combination adds Aspd and flee rates) and I consume awaken's potion + drosera herb salad( this food enhance agi +20). 193 aspd is special.
I played before MVPs actually used skills and brandish spear was considered good.
I think my friends and I found the first mvp card from BBs on an official U.S. server, which was sadly Atroce. We did find the first OH card on iRO Iris though, so that was cool.
Back then, Bayalan was the place to be... before most bots came in.
Actually soloing was a lot easier early on. Hunters could just trap spam, knights used to go counter attack and spam sp potions, ME priests solo bapho with safetywall walking, wizards could vertical firewall many bosses like maya. The knights with full +5 equipment could just bash or pierce spam because +5 was so godly back then. Would give anything to play a real pre-comodo classic server to relive those days.
I last play ro in a private server with normal drop rate for mvp card. Only 10 people have mvp card in that server at that time and I accidentally sold an armor with detale mvp card the anti freeze one with my whitesmith vending cause I was so sleepy.
I remembered I was this excited when a SS card dropped. and the server got rolled back. Oh..good times.
While playing in an internet cafe back in my college days, i saw a guy hunting orc lord killed him became MVP only problem is he died on last hit lol so there he is laying on the floor cursing the guy that was waiting for the card so that he can pick it up once the internal timer allows him to do so lol

I remember spending weeks looking for GodDamn SS card.
My first and only MVP loot card before during the old days was Maya card lol Handled lots of boss card after because am a guild master but you wont forget the one that you have hunted yourself.

Mine was a spore card, went directly into a belt [1] from prontera's weapows store.
At first i dont even believe that MVP card really can drop. Until i get my first Evil Snake Lord card. Felt so good
I just had a Hydra Card before since PRO was still alive. I know it’s not much but I believe it’s a little high value too since it’s popular on PVPs or WoEs. It also has an 0.01% drop rate chance, lol.
yea the drop rates are rough. it makes it hype af if a card drops though
I had one luckily back on 2004, but was ignorant to its value and slotted it to a blade [3] of all things. SMH
i was new to the game playing a swordie in pRO and got a Hydra Card in byalan and traded it for a Sakkat, a Blue DyeStuff and a no slot Sunglasses cuz i thought it was cool. Got a Marc Card and someone in my party begged that i should give it to them and he traded it for some garbage. I was hell of a noob back then hahaha. Good Times. Also got a Pupa Card which i sold to NPC hahah. Crazy how i can still remember all this stuff
@@ragediztortion Yes. Especially if you're not so heavily invested in the game and you're not updated with all of the things going on you can get scammed so easily. Heck, I recall waayyy back in 2002, internet is not yet much of a thing and there are not much of forums or wikis that you can look into to know the things in the games like cards, gears, items, monsters, etc. I remember we had a printed manual. Yes, you heard right, one of my classmate, for some very resourceful reason, was able to get a manual guide (from the internet for sure). Ahh the times...something I don't want to go back to, lmao.
Worst experience when hydra dropped a card then looted by kukre. Then due to lag, dont know where the fuck kukre went hahaha.deym

Ive once got Maya card before, when I was 7 yrs old. But my friend scammed me . Exchange for 3 doppelganger cards and 2 phreeoni cards( many players congratulates me) I'm 19 now lol
