That lady said that her daughter live in Italy, and she also add that she went to many countries in Europe and America. Enjoy your stay in the north of Thailand
It is so painful as an English teacher watching a non English speaker making videos. Your sentences are structured so badly, it literally hurts my ears.
Thai tourism should give Ken recognition for his passion and for promoting all of Thailand and not just tourist spots. I sure when borders are opened, Thailand would see influx of visitors and these northern towns may see a boom in tourism.
So nice to see you visit the local market every town you go. That is where you really experience the local vibes. Scenery after the sunset still look good. Not to get disappointed if you already tried your best. Tq for the video
Wonderful clip and fun to watch. I really appreciate how you always try to talk with locals and despite a language barrier … both of you continue :-) Respect Greetings from Sydney
Thank you Ken, for doing this amazing introduction of Mae Sariang. There is more to see and do in Mae Sariang such as trekking, homestays, camping, bamboo rafting and kayaking. We hope you can come again next time and we can show you the deeper Mae Sariang.
Mae Sariang is indeed a cozy small town but it's very clean....hardly can find any litters around. An interesting tour around that local market...nice to see your interaction with the vendors there especially with that chatty aunty. Too bad that there's a language barrier between you and her....😀😀
Love that local market. We met a very friendly cat in one of the shops next door that was taught to choose lottery numbers from a box by its owner. The cat spent some time on our shoulders whilst we bought laab spice mixes from the stall holder to bring home...they are delicious still after 2 years. We love Mae Sariang.🥰
Love the ending scene where you squat beside the road, eating your roti and cake with super beautiful paddy fields in the background. Not a big deal for not being able to capture the sunset scene for us. Great content, great video, thanks for the interesting vlog.
Aaaha...those small biscuits with colourful icing sugar on top were my childhood favourite. You know how l ate them ? Well, l separated the top part from the biscuits, kept the sweet parts as sweets and ate them later...😋😋 Great that they are also your favourite...🙌
The market is so vibrant! The Thais are always so friendly and helpful. I miss Thailand! Thanks for bringing Thailand smiles through your videos. Keep going Ken!!! Stay safe!!
Hi Ken👋🏻 I can see that Mae Sariang is a small and peaceful town , I love the cleanliness of the area in the market and by the roadsides 👍 that rotee looks like "roti canai" , amazing view across the padi field and I can still see the light reflections of the sunset 👍 the mosque and temple are indeed beautiful in its own perspective 👏🏻
We were there about 8 years ago and it is known as having the hardest bed in Thailand. Unfortunately we got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, but luckily the Mayor happened to be passing and took us to get it fixed.
We went to mae sariang in Feb 2020 as we did the mae Hong son loop. We thought the town was interesting and the locals were very welcoming. I would love to go back and explore more. Thanks for the video👍
Great! The temple was lovely. Also the views across the rice fields, perfect. Lovely town and accomodation looks wonderful. I wish i was there too ! ( we, in Melbourne, are in another ‘hard’ lockdown ). Safe and happy travels Ken.
Hi Ken,apa khabar,if I go travel anywhere, the market is my favourite place to visit,so your visit to the market was my favourite, good job ken, looking forward to another trip
The view over looking the paddy fields is breathtaking! How about a sunrise video ha? :) Would love to learn more about the cultural differences between northern and southern Thais. Also the food they eat and their local accents/dialects.
Yes it's a nice location, great to see you making the effort to converse with the local community. Wow the woman in the market was an experienced traveller.
Since you are in Mae Sariang - 4 famous temples among locals are : Wat Prathat Chom Tong, Wat Prathat Chom Chang, Wat Prathat Chom Mon and Wat Prathat Chom Kitti - the 1st, the 3rd and the last one situate on small mountains where you can see the whole Mae Sarieng town - good to fly drone. On road no. 108 which you can ride to these temples locate "Kuay Taew Ped Toon" or duck (also chicken) noodles in giant bowls - very popular for locals, not far from Mae Sariang Hospital 🙃
I really enjoy your videos content this time, cause I never been to this northern part of Thailand 🇹🇭. Thanks for sharing have fun 🤩 by the way the “kueh” malay words made
Wow nice accomodation, Some towns do have a good character. I have similar great vibes about a little town called Lundu in Sarawak. The lady in the market was a very talkative lady.We know those little cookies as "iced gems". Yes a nice day on the "rainy season roadtrip" The sun being set already makes the colours in the clouds very beautiful.

Very Nice Video Ken. I think the spongy cake is made from coconut. The lady at the market said that her son or daughter lives in Italy, and that she has travelled to Italy, Germany, France, Portugal and the USA.
I like how there seems to be just a little bit of normalization, especially in these crazy times. you are very blessed to be able to travel as you do :-) enjoy and stay safe
haha... hi ken! fav part is your laughs talking to locals in Thai, about Germany or Italy? LOL... and awesome paddy sunset experience yah! temple mood is so....peaceful. happy traveling. i remembered there is this lake place with all the white temples in MHS, and lots of hawkers and fiesta going on at night. May be you can find it soon :P cheers. covid may have changed much destinations already..stay safe
Wanna add too that those rainbow-striped trinkets, wallets and handicrafts of MHS are perfect unique gifts for loved ones ;) i believed i bought those there. not found in elsewhere...
I must say your Thai language much better than some others Thai people who leave in foreign countries, who excuses doesn't wanted to speak their own Thai language. Accept who born and they grew up in foreign countries) However my opinion we must not forget where we belong...but, you very different you much love Thailand. Weldone my friend I am very empress. 😁😁👍👍😊
Imo everything was interesting to see from local markets to tempels and paddy fields etc. My recommendation is to visit the provincial capital of Mae Hong Song, it even has a airport and a beautiful tempel on a mountain!

That's interesting, thanks 😊
She also said that those fish she is selling can't be found in Germany, France, Portugal, nor Italy, those places she has been.
Thank you for the translation ☺️👌🏼!
Is that salted fish she selling?
