I first read this series when I was 15 and fell in love with it and I still find myself drifting back to them every once in a while. Since Nora is his descendant, her life is linked with his. If she dies, so does he. So Chauncey would’ve died regardless of whether or not Patch accepted her sacrifice.

I'm a pretty indoorsy person with not a lot of friends, and suddenly realizing I can't remember the last two weeks, *at all*, would be terrifying to me, especially if it comes with those weird amnesia-solving trauma dreams people like to put in these kinds of books. I wouldn't be pleased to know that for all that time, a fallen angel was taking my body on a joyride. I find the sentiment of wanting my body *not* to be taken against my will to be an understandable, reasonable, and very simple one to empathize with.

I read hush hush in middle school and I really wanted to like it because the covers were really intriguing and the concept sounded cool. But I never finished the series because the ending of the 1st book was really disappointing and not satisfying :/
If you are looking for the good version of Twilight, the manga series Toilet-bound Hanako-kun is a recent take on the genre and it is very good. Very heart-warming but also chock full of hot topic horror aesthetic
Aaah I read the first book post-Twilight craze and it was a guilty pleasure lol. Then I haven't continued the series yet but somehow I still don't want to be spoiled so I'm just gonna leave this comment here and come back after (eventually) finishing them 😂

I remember really liking this series around when I was 13 (the cover off the first absolutely intrigued me). I remember staying up late to finish the third book right after the translated (norwegian) version was released. However, by the time the 4th was released a year later or so my interest had dropped off and I never ended up finishing the series, even though I have the last book on my shelf. Maybe I should go back and get to the end. :P
On the part about the files being empty also happening in Fallen, I do wonder, which of them was published first, Fallen or this? Because I always used to call Fallen "Rip-off Hush Hush."😂
Being immortal doesn’t necessarily make one invulnerable, but is more often a side effect of the invulnerability. Immortal means ‘living forever; never dying or decaying.’ Thus calling the Nephilim immortal is correct in the sense that they don’t decay or age like vampires. Vampires have many weaknesses yet everyone accepts that they are immortal creatures. Lobsters are also considered to be immortal because they only die with outside effects done to them, like being boiled. They do not die from old age.
i tried to read this book because i love trashy romance for the trashiness, but it was so trash, I could not get through it. It was like reading a friends one direction fan fic. I also keep getting this book mixed up with Fallen (which I had to google because the name never stuck)

Shame it’s not very good.
@@skyblade7438 but it is not too long
I've found your channel like a week ago and I'm really enjoying the stuff about the paranormal romance that you post. I grew up on those books, loving them, and now as an adult I love to go back and like... see them for real? Great content, I agree with a lot of points you put in your videos. Would love them to be even longer. I really hope someday I will see video essay about Mortal Instruments and the trilogy prequel, but in-depth and all.
Thanks for the great content!
I love your hair clip
You mate are So on spot. I have such fan with your videos. You deserve So Much happiness! ❤️
Then I haven't continued the series yet but somehow I still don't want to be spoiled so I'm just gonna leave this comment here and come back after (eventually) finishing them 😂
"Ich kann dein Winkel sein, oder dein Teufel"
Intended translation: "I can be your angel, or your devil"
Actual translation (probably because of typo when putting it in Google Translate): "I can be your angle, or your devil"
On no, that was on purpose
Can confirm, _Winkel_ means angle.
yeah. It hits my german heart really deep. My type of haha-humor
Ein Innenseite-Witz 🤗
I remember really liking this series around when I was 13 (the cover off the first absolutely intrigued me). I remember staying up late to finish the third book right after the translated (norwegian) version was released. However, by the time the 4th was released a year later or so my interest had dropped off and I never ended up finishing the series, even though I have the last book on my shelf. Maybe I should go back and get to the end. :P
Fellow Norwegian says hi 👋
Ok. Who didn't come in someone yet?
Can I ask why you love doing German puns?
It isn't German pun. It's pun if translated into English.
I guess the actual question would be why he does them in german
for the longest time i thought it was a new stupid youtube thing where they now also badly translate thumbnail text
@@canopus5498 lmao same
"thirty to fourty minutes"
How many of these YA angel romance authors played FF7 and crushed on Sephiroth? Because I feel like the number is higher than I’m imagining.
'Nephilim named Dante' - ominous Devil May Cry Remake noises in the distance
Out of all the clones of twighlight I liked hush hush
Blue bloods is the book you're looking for
I loved those books when I read them in highschool
It’s wild how well the R.Kelly clips work! 😂😂😂
These books sound like it is like watching Riverdale or the Vampire diaries. Just a lot of "WTF" and "thats stupid"
What is it with these YA series trying to cram the entirety of their multi-volume plots into the in-universe space of a few weeks?
aka see James torture himself for us. Again.
I read these I really liked them I dont remember if I finished the series
How to flirt according to this book:
Step 1: Force your way into a house
Step 2: Make tacos
There is no step 3, this is peek romance
i tried to read this book because i love trashy romance for the trashiness, but it was so trash, I could not get through it. It was like reading a friends one direction fan fic. I also keep getting this book mixed up with Fallen (which I had to google because the name never stuck)
angel = Engel
angle = Winkel
