Thanks! And yes you have to. The lines could wrap around it for sure but the catch can uses the holes where the noise pipe is bolted into. Unless you can find another mounting point, then you won’t need to delete the noise pipe!

I’ve installed in my car. The thing is when I remove the oil cap ther it’s no negative pressure, the oil cap wants to jump off. It’s that normal ? I’m afraid I’m creating way to much crankcase pressure
Hey I didn’t remove the canister, but the previous owner did. Unfortunately it’s not in this video or one on my channel, but there are a few videos out there. Thanks for the comment!
Interesting yeah we didn’t have the charcoal canister on this one, I believe the previous owner deleted it. You can look up ways to delete that and then put the catch can right there
Bro thanks for the video! I subscribed to you and have watched most of your videos. I bought the CTS catch can . I know you live in jersey I live in New York , so I wanted to ask you if you have problems in the winter time . Do you leave it on all winter ? I heard of people putting the OEM pcv on during the winter . Would like your thoughts and feedback . Thanks bro!
Appreciate that very much! And honestly I leave it on during the winter time. I also have heard of people putting the stock setup on but I don’t bother with it. I think it’s kinda foolish hahah but that’s just me!
@@RatchetWrenches you the man bro! Thanks I guess I’ll leave mine on with some peace of mind . I live about ten min from NYC so i don’t think that much different from your weather

I just installed my cts kit with the Africa plate and it sounds like there is a louder ticking type of noise when I first cold started it there was a slight ringing but on the 3rd try it went away I'm thinking possible vacum leak or one of the bolt holes are stripped (had to replace 5 of em)
@@RatchetWrenches Nevermind i see that the car must be driven for about 20min to make the oil burn the condensation..I bought oil catch can just waiting to arive..I think it will fix the problem forever
Honestly not really, only real con is maybe how annoying it is to clean it so often but other then that no! It functions great and does everything as it was designed. That was about 20k miles or so of having it too, I sold the car so I’m not sure how it is lately but I’d assume just as good
If you get this kit right here it comes with the PCV block off plate with bungs for the lines to feed the catch can. If you don’t use a catch can you can just use a PCV block off plate.
@@xtrah8ed4life you’re really only getting better throttle response with the block off plate. With the catch can you’re really just protecting your engine from putting all that blow by and gunk back into it

Merci pour le compliment Alex ! De toute façon y a pas de mieux ou moins bien, les Alex c’est les meilleurs de toute façon 😋😘
Nicely done! I like the head strap perspective
Thank you and yeah we’re gonna try and use it more often
Great install video bro. CTS makes quality parts.
Thanks we tried the head strap but we gotta work put some kinks with it but yeah CTS is a great brand
Ratchet Wrenches that’s was a good idea using the head mount for the GoPro.
keep up the good work always looking for ways to fix mine as well. Thanks for the video!
Thanks and you're welcome!
Thank you for the awesome video bro!!
Thank you! Make sure to check out the other videos on this car!
Glad you listened to me bro!
Hahaha yeah!
Looks hella nice
Easy! Thanks

Amazing install video. Quick question. Do you have to remove the noise pipe? I don’t see why the lines won’t route around it.
Thanks! And yes you have to. The lines could wrap around it for sure but the catch can uses the holes where the noise pipe is bolted into. Unless you can find another mounting point, then you won’t need to delete the noise pipe!

Did you snap the oil fill neck off your valve cover?im too scared too do it. But it looks so good
Yeah I did! It’s actually fairly easy it’s scary to think about it but if you just put some pressure turning it, it’ll twist right off!
@@RatchetWrenches I snapped it off😎it was terrifying
Yet another noob question... what does that PCV block off plate do exactly?
Hey, did you delete the charcoal canister? Is it in a vid? Good video btw

GTI mods!
Did you remove the charcoal canister?
Mick Ando my setup doesn’t have one. Previous owner did some work to it so prob removed it then
I have the Scirocco R, same engine as yours, the EA113. But the problem is, I have a charcoal Canister box, where should I put the catch can?
Interesting yeah we didn’t have the charcoal canister on this one, I believe the previous owner deleted it. You can look up ways to delete that and then put the catch can right there

How did you do it for the boost tap

Check the rear PCV
Also did you delete the noise pipe ? Not sure of the setup on fsi but my tsi noise pipe is in way of mounting bracket
Mine is an FSI and yes I did delete the noise pipe. Same with the tsi though this uses that bracket
will the condensation from oil go away if i have the pcv delete kit bcs today i saw that my oil was milky as fuck and its very cold outside??
It’ll help remove a lot of it but these cars are notorious for it so you still might get some

Is that sane set up for fsi motor mk5 engines
This is the FSI engine, The TSI engine would be a little bit of a different schedule
@@RatchetWrenches so basically all fsi. Will be same ..thank you
Hi my car is TT same engine with MK5.
There are two hose spot in PCV valve. Which one is IN direction on catch can?
If you look at the catch can head on with the hose ports on the left and right. The right side would be classified as the “IN”
