I noticed you put tin foil on the broiler plates etc. thought I read not to… but felt like I should! Have you had Any problems with doing that? Thank you! Great Video and excited to try my new 1150!
Hey what’s up Brandon? You are going to love that cooker. To answer your question, no not a bit. I placed foil over the grease tray for much easier clean up. Plus I don’t have the burned grease and food fouling up the taste of what I’m cooking. Enjoy your new cooker and hey, keep em’ burning 🔥
What is up? Oh yes! I still have “Big Tasty” my Brunswick. I highly recommend the 1150PS2. The old controller will not allow you to change the temperature in 10 degree increments. If contact Pit Boss, they will send you out a new controller. I contacted Pit Boss on April 8th. I was informed that the controllers were out of stock but I was first on the list when the new shipment comes in. Originally I was told mid-May but now it looks like end of June. I just contacted them Thursday May 27th. I still use my 1150 but can not do any low/slow cooking. My controller will not cook between 200-300 degrees. I have to cook at 300 or above. I have other cookers but I’m really looking forward to seeing how my 1150PS2 performs at the low settings.
I feel a lot happier with my new 1150. Thanks Jimmy.
What is up D Dub! There will be more to come when my new controller comes in. Until then, keep em’ burning 🔥
That is the first time that I've seen that used in a video it is pretty awesome!
What’s up Jerry? Thank you for checking us out. Yep, this cooker is awesome. I really do love it.
I’m going to smoke my first bird this weekend! Thank you for showing me the way... I m a first time smoker so I have a lot to learn

Did you dry rub the chicken at all?
What is up? Yep, I sure did. I have no time for marinades. I am a dry rub guy.
Thank you
Nice job, did you put it in smoke mode?
What’s up Mike? No, No need to. When the cooker drops to the hold temperature (180) it is like putting it in smoke mode.
Do you still have the Brunswick I was thinking of getting this one as well. How did you know if you had the new controller thanks
