Holy god Dave Attell is so insanely effortlessly funny. It's so fun to watch him just have a conversation.
Dude right? It makes me wonder if he's just insanely naturally talented or if he has honed his craft so well over the years he's able to deliver jokes that way.

I remember being like 8 years old waking up in the middle of the night and turning on the tv, but keeping it super low, so I could watch shows like crank yankers, south park, and most importantly, my favorite, Insomniac with Dave Attell. He fully formed my sense of humor as a kid and I am forever grateful.

Someone who can keep up with Santino's quick wit is refreshing. These guys are kinda cut from the same cloth even though their comedy styles on stage are totally different.

I cannot overstate how good it was seeing Dave Attell live with buddies recently. He had Ryan Reiss open for him and they both had great energy. Dave made us howl with laughter for a solid hour. If you get a chance to see him live do not pass it up.
It’s funny how Andrew asks dave if he’s ever been to Australia because in Dave’s first appearance on Late Night with Letterman, Dave has a joke about how long it takes to fly to Australia:
“I flew to Australia. It takes two days to get there. By the time you land, it’s earlier than when you left. I called my house phone and I answered the phone.”

My first comedy show was at 16. Dave Attel hosted that giant Dane Cook tour with Greg Giraldo and Sean Roush. Still the biggest/roudiest comedy show I have been to. Seen Dave four times since then but Ill never forget that night.
I look forward to this podcast every single week. I love that y’all got together, I’ve been following separately for quite some time and it’s nice to see a few improvers doin their thang!!! Love y’all ✂️♥️✂️♥️

You don't see Dave do a lot of repeat appearances on pods unless they are funny and he enjoys the people there. He looked as comfortable on this one as he is with people he has known for years. I would speculate Andrew's is in his rotation going forward when he is LA. Some of Andrew's set ups for Dave were instinctively brilliant and he knew the response was going to be gold. That one at the end where he asked Dave what where the most unfortunately named comedy specials he had ever heard of, and he responded with Red Fox's Wash your Ass was hysterical.

Hot Cross Buns is the first special I've watched in a while, I was nervous I wouldn't like it, but Attell is still amazing! The petting zoo bit was especially great. Laughed my ass off

and Morill, and Big Jay, and Jeselnik, and on and on. Comics have used the term "Attell babies" for a reason. Dave Attell is the King of Comedy. Jeselnik told a story on rogan about watching Attell too much that he also started to sound like him in his early days.
