The one playing Elder Grant has a phenomenal presence! And, too, the whole group of you guys is truly enthusiastic. I would love to see you in that show!!!
I am Mormon, & I served a Mormon mission in Canada. But I just can't help but smile when I see this performance. It's a little campy and inaccurate but that's okay it is fun.
Same! Im also a mormon and i love this show so much! a few inaccuracies but I'm more surprised on how many facts they got right. its just such a fun show :)
Amazing to watch this nearly 7 years later and see how many of these performing arts students ended up in West End Shows - Wicked, Curtains , Matilda, Book of Mormon, Charlie and the Chicolate Factory. Plus tours - Top Hat, Cats, Club Tropicana, Grease, Wicked, Dirty Dancing, Evita, Saturday Night Fever, Book of Mormon to name a few. A very talented bunch
Love this play so much. I'd love to see this live but the shows are apparently only in LA and the big cities. I knew a Mormon. He was really nice and he also cursed like a sailor. Was an odd mix really.
don't be upset....there was obviously a huge amount of work in the performance and it was a joy to watch. And your performers are terrific. Congratulations and well done.
This is fantastic! I performed a version of I Believe in spanish (I think it's the first version in spanish ever) some months ago, and I really enjoy to see how BOM is spreading all over the world. This is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
I didn't see any negative comments myself (maybe I just didn't look for enough back), but I thought this was absolutely amazing! You guys did a fantastic job and should be incredibly proud!
Kia ora Daniel, NZ is a beautiful country, a very liberal secular Western democracy. Mormon Church in NZ is the 5th largest having arrived in 1853. Uganda LDS mission only began in the 1990's with 20, 000 members but rapidly growing, having a Stake Centre in Kampala.
Well performed - HELLO - it is so MORMON. Its also very funny and true. From one who had served an LDS mission in the Wellington MIssion in New Zealand. Elder Rob McKay.
Yikes, who in the world would insult this? I think you all did a fantastic job! I challenge those that picked on you to do it themselves and see how well they do. It's very easy to be an armchair quarterback. Bravo!
haha, it's good for a college production, but I wouldn't classify it as "Broadway quality". The choreography & dancing is close to the Broadway production, but the singing and acting is still a far cry off. Still a great production, though.
I was born LDS, and I didn't serve a Mission. This is a tiny bit over the top, But it didn't hurt the performance too much. I myself have done a few covers from Book of Mormon. Hopefully you'll take a look at it. All negatives aside I can tell you guys put a LOT of work into this, Specially with making it your own. Great job!
The dancing is SOMETHING INCREDIBLE! But broadway is singing first, acting second, then dancing. Elder Grant should have played Elder Price and Elder Price should have been taller. Elder Grant definitely stole the show!
Wow. That surprises me. Truthfully I'm a way too lazy to read through all the comments on the video and I believe you. This is far and away my favorite version of 'hello' that I can find anywhere on the internet, including anything from Broadway. It seems like every time i watch it, I notice a new facial expression or motion and they are all extremely precise and well done, not to mention hilarious. I wish I could just watch the rest of the performance. :)
Congrats! you did an excellent job! People may think Mormons were shocked by this show, but it's not true, most love it, specially those who went on missions.
This was fun to watch! I had to laugh at how gay every elder was in this production. I know it's hard to play it down though they certainly achieved that in the Broadway version (campy sincerity, without going over the top). But for a college production I thought it was great. And for the record, I wish some of my mission companions had been this gay!
Lol, I love that you defended yourself before anyone even said anything to you. I did just want to say that this musical was made to be super-campy on purpose. It's making fun of how insanely happy Mormons seem to be all the time, ha ha.
In all choirs and performance groups it's likely that a lot of the males are homosexual, but that has nothing to do with the performance... they are directed to act that way for that style of theater or the style of the director.
Hi Micheal I thought I was the only member who found the elders gay-sounding! lol (no offense 2 my gay friends, however) I wonder if ur companions would've been as perky (if not more) had they been gay? lol
You should listen to the songs of the second half. I haven't found the full musical anywhere, but the songs never goes anywhere mean or angry. When all is said and done, the message is all around very positive. Of course, these two, turn it off and the first african song are the best ones, and they are also the ones poking the most fun at religion. (OK, Spooky Mormon hell dream does too, but that one isn't quite as good)

The musical was right! You guys are so fucking nice. You're awesome people.
Jaylie Piatt The Mormons are the Canadians of the religious world.
Ryan Ingram This is what I like to see, Mormons not taking it seriously because its somewhat accurate, but it's really overly exaggerated
It was hilarious. Yes, a bit inaccurate, but still hilarious. I have had 3 brothers serve missions so far! it's great and yeah.... xD rofl

My sexuality is whoever plays Elder Grant in this production
I agree
Jack E mine is elder smith😏
Why are Mormons so attractive?
we only did these two songs. it was in a variety show thing :) would love to do the actual musical though!
why aren't people laughing during the funny parts?
because they're dense as fuck
Eddie Marais I think the audience are laughing, its just the sound quality is no good. The crowd reaction at the end shows they get it.
They are laughing but the sound quality is so poor you can hardly hear them
That audience has no humour xD
Their enthusiasm is infectious! You can't help but be charmed by them! Awesome job! :)
I'm afraid I'm in love with Elder Grant D:
The sound is faint even at maximum volume. Otherwise it is great. Also the actors all look intensely Mormon!
This is the best performance of these songs i've seen yet.
Elder Price was so adorable! The piece was so magnificent!
Glad you enjoyed it! & I'm also glad you didn't get put in Uganda like Elder Price haha!
Love this play so much. I'd love to see this live but the shows are apparently only in LA and the big cities. I knew a Mormon. He was really nice and he also cursed like a sailor. Was an odd mix really.
One of the best covers. Well done guys
I love a short elder price
No one will ever understand how much I love this! Great job!
This is really great, omg. Usually I hate watching a show that's different from the original in any way but I love this. You guys are great :)
wow you guys really did a great job! I just return from the broadway show. Awesome show!

Really great covers, you're theatre group is very talented :)

That's a great job! I really enjoyed it! :)
i have watched the show in chicago, but this is so great!!!
Saw it @ the Eugene O'Neil 3 times Loved every performance!

You guys are incredible.

I have to admit, I am very impressed! You guys did a fantastic job!
This is insanely good. I would love to see more!
best cover of "Two by Two" ! this is awesome !
Such an amazing performance!! Great job!!! :)
That was awesome!!!!
This was brilliant!
this performance is really nice :)
Thank God we dont get many of those kids in Florida lol. Crazy. 😂 fun performance though !
Excellent performance, broadway quality!
haha, it's good for a college production, but I wouldn't classify it as "Broadway quality". The choreography & dancing is close to the Broadway production, but the singing and acting is still a far cry off. Still a great production, though.
Would have loved to see you guys do "Turn it off" I bet you would nail it.
I thought this was terrific, and very professional. In fact, I saw the play on Broadway and you all were every bit as good.
Amazing performance, personaly i think the "Elder Grant" there outperformed the protagonists. maybe that dude should have had a bigger role.
This is absolutely funny, and it's so good :-) It's funny and cheesy Mormon. I love it. :-) This is so polished and amazing :-)
Well done guys!!! Great job!
Ah wow! That's amazing! It's such a fun piece to do! :) x
Wow - so awesome!!!! amazing voice :)
Holy crap! I've seen tons of covers of both Hello and Two by Two, and this is by far the best of the lot. Amazing work guys!.
Congrats...this is funny!Great Job...greets from Vienna!
this is awesome omg
I really hate musicals but I love this one, it's so funny.
Great job!
If a mormon came to me I'd take a book anyway and end up with a collection... I'm bad at saying no
The dancing is SOMETHING INCREDIBLE! But broadway is singing first, acting second, then dancing. Elder Grant should have played Elder Price and Elder Price should have been taller. Elder Grant definitely stole the show!
Great job!
*Literally didn't know this was an unofficial rendition. Good on you guys!
Very very good guy amazing
It's not a normal day if I don't watch this at least 3 times... It really does look like a real broadway performance (in my opinion).
Terrific talent, especially Elder Price in "Two by Two". But everyone's great!
Wow. That surprises me. Truthfully I'm a way too lazy to read through all the comments on the video and I believe you. Would've loved to see you perform Hasa Diga Eebowai. lol
Congrats! you did an excellent job! People may think Mormons were shocked by this show, but it's not true, most love it, specially those who went on missions.
AJ Holmes as Elder Cunningham. I wish I could see the whole production of him playing the lead.
"so you dont burn in ...HEEEEEELLLLLLLLL-O!"
i saw this number at States and LOVED IT! The troupe who did it was amazing!
The end made me so happy it was a clever way to leave
It seems like you did a great job to me!
Who's playing elder price
Welcome to the internet dude....
The dude who played Elder Grant... He's so funny!
Did they do Hassa Diga Eebowai? I haven't seen anyone have the balls to try that one outside of the original play yet. :P
This was fun to watch! I had to laugh at how gay every elder was in this production. this is a great example of what happens when your cast is made of everyone from choir with probably little to no theater experience...
hi, I don't know i'm afraid. I think our tutor had them made x
It sounds like they are British and are doing American accents. I love it though!!
They are... haha
Daniel Hope I knEW IT
great now when mormons come to my door and they say hello i bust out laughing
I went to see the Book of Mormon in Brisbane and I prefer this one 😂
What Uganda do about it Elder Price?
Would it have killed the one guy to shave? LOL. Great otherwise.
Kelly Anderson you’re right. Totally distracting and reminded the audience that this is an an amateur production.
thanks for answering, any chances of getting it for me? or put me in contact with your tutor?
So were you in this performance? If so, who did you play?
OMG this is hilarious!
Lol, I love that you defended yourself before anyone even said anything to you. I did just want to say that this musical was made to be super-campy on purpose. It's making fun of how insanely happy Mormons seem to be all the time, ha ha.
Elder Cunningham seens to me to be miscast and I have seen better elder price's. All in all is ok.
I want to direct one of these. I hate when the choreography isnt like the real show :( Still good though
Why did they change the lyrics?
hahahaha love it
Were you in Orlando?
elder young is hoooot!!
In all choirs and performance groups it's likely that a lot of the males are homosexual, but that has nothing to do with the performance... they are directed to act that way for that style of theater or the style of the director.
I cant hear anything from this video... not music... nothing.
+Sam Hosen There's a volume button you know
This can't even compare with the real thing.
I don't remember Elder Price being 5ft tall
BennyNeb & I don’t remember asking for your opinion on my height...
You never know.
i cant hear it
A for Effort
But why is Elder Cunningham attractive
Elder Grant...
Bo Burnham is that you?
Hi Micheal I thought I was the only member who found the elders gay-sounding! lol (no offense 2 my gay friends, however) I wonder if ur companions would've been as perky (if not more) had they been gay? lol
Indoctrination through entertainment ;)
