Thanks for the explanations! I'll definitely make some changes to my deck. One more floodgate that I have used very effectively against snake-eye is: barrier statues! If your deck uses one (non-fire) attribute AND does not require normal summons, barrier statues completely ruin snake-eye :D All monsters they can normal summon are smaller than 1000 so they can't get rid of it without a board breaker
One thing to mention is to be cautious when ashing a snake eye deck. Imperm and maxx c are much safer disruption. If they can play through ash they can steal her from your grave with hita and then use her as a tuner in their combos Maybe different hand traps like veiler or mourner will be better choice than ash since we are moving into fire meta, what do you think?
I definitely agree! Hiita has been crazy with stealing Ash! I have had Hiita stolen (once) and it ended up with borreload, baronne, elf, and IP on master duel; I cried, lol. Which is why I encompass veiler and mourner in correspondence with Imperm. However, being that in the TCG it’s all fire; on master duel we aren’t quite there yet, ash is still a strong hand trap. But swapping droll for ash might be a better option in retrospect. Thank you for the feedback ❤️🥹
Bystials can't banish snake eyes because they're a fire attribute. They only banish light and dark and yes diabellastar can be banished but then they'll just figure out a way to get her on the field anyway.
@@Lefty.369 I was about to mention, lol. Overall, Bytials definitely are a great tree ch because of the overlap it has with other decks in the meta (Mannadium, branded). Snake-Eyes are (should be) hit for aprils ban list (hopefully)
Maxx c is not free win, they have safe board that you draw only 2 and end board with i:p, temple, popu and flameberg on s/t zone. That ready to do 2400 apollousa when you summon any monster with summom ash and popu for next turn follow up.
I’ve been beating snake eyes with maxx c since their release lol it’s a really great card to counter any meta 😁 the deck is resilient but maxx c is the silver bullet
Honestly, I do not like, personally. I never ran the Gamma + Driver hand traps because you can only use it once; the other two Gamma are bricks and if you are to have unlucky hands (like me) you will always brick. I would say test, but I do not recommend the pieces, unless you have a way to use the bricks, such as Super Poly, Twin Twister, etc. I hope this helps you make a decision. :)
@@lowtierhero_ well yeah but let me explain, if ash/II negate ash, delta negate bonfire. It’s over for snake. Delta must in side for against snake and Lo.
Note: you probably shouldnt ash poplar like ever. It usually searches OSS. There are a bunch of other cards in the deck that search the same card and the opponent could have hard opened it. OSS is a better ash target in almost every situation. Ash the first summon. If you have imperm for the first summon then probably ash the OSS in every situation. I want to hedge this comment by saying i dont have much experience against or with the pure SE deck. I also mainly play in the TCG so im mainly talking about the FK variant, but i believe The pure version usually prioritizes the OSS over the field spell.
I definitely advocate for any and all experiences be shared in the comments, and for those willing to read. 😁 I thank you for sharing your experience and recommendation! It’s all fluid, the game is varied by variant and play style. Poplar may not be the best hit, but in some instance, can be a “better” option depending on hand, rebuttal, and game state. The SE deck is crazy resilient as is the other variants of Diabellstar. I haven’t played much of it in the TCG but I find it easier to beat on Master Duel; there’s just so much of it in play that shoots it into the tier 1 rank (mainly due to representation, in my opinion).
Im thinking of going for board breakers and going second. Ghost belle is great...but i dont like using hand traps this format that can be chain blocked.
I’m actually doing the same for stage 2 of the duelist cup. So many hand traps that are getting chain blocked right now. I was thinking DRNM + Harpie’s + Raigeki + Maxx C for an idea of “all gas”. Still working shopping though.
Would you advise opting for Ghost Mourner on top of Imperm, Ash, and Veiler? I didn’t know if it would be overkill, but it seems like Snake Eyes needs minimum two disruptions to prevent them from going off.
In the TCG, I would opt for a 3 ash / 3 Imperm / 1 veiler spread and include TT Talents at 2 and thrust at 1 because you want the option to draw, steal, or rip considering how reactive they can be. I would side the ghost mourner at 3 mainly for the emphasis of burning in game 3. I am running these ratios and honestly, thurst and talents have been cracked into getting me my key pieces and disruptions. As for in master duel, too many hand traps never hurts, lol. I would do 3 ash / 3 imperm/ 2 veiler or 2 mourner. I would also incorporate Talents at 2-3 because of how responsive the meta is, but this ratio is awful if you are at diamond 3 or less. Mainly because you will play a lot more backrow heavy decks than meta. If you are at Diamond 3 or less, focus more on 3 ash / 3 imperm because the meta isnt as competitive until you get to diamond 2+. I am here to help if you'd like!
Thanks this helped a bunch! I’m right at Diamond 3 so slowly have been noticing more Snake Eyes but definitely having plenty of Branded or backrow decks to deal with too. I’m torn on if I should max Droll or just play a copy or two since feel like Snake Eyes can still play through it but it can be a turn ender for other decks. I prefer bling going 2nd decks and while although I want to see if can incorporate Cosmic Cyclone, are Duster and Lightning Storm still viable? I would say Reboot too, but would have to pry that card from my cold dead hands before I take it out of any of my decks lol. Awesome video!
