In this video, Dr. Matthew Posa, a chiropractor in Milton, Ontario will discuss his favorite home treatment for Tinnitus. Tinnitus is a condition characterized by the perception of sound in the ears or head without any external source. Commonly described as ringing, buzzing, hissing, or clicking noises, tinnitus can be continuous or intermittent. It is not a disease itself but often a symptom of an underlying issue, such as age-related hearing loss, exposure to loud noises, earwax blockage, or certain medical conditions such as Meniere's Disease. Tinnitus can vary in intensity and impact individuals differently, ranging from a minor annoyance to a significant disruption in daily life. While there is no cure for tinnitus, various management strategies and treatments may help alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life for those affected.
Most often overlooked is the role of the upper cervical spine and relationship between the C1, Sub-occipital Muscles, Jaw Muscles and Neck Muscles. In some cases, can Tinnitus be caused by the cervical spine?

I've had vertigo for 3 years now. It started when i worked in a laundry. I went to the hospital and i had dust in my ears, nose and throat. I went to see the ent doctor and had an MRI and CAT scan which were negative. My right ear has been hurting which was infected, now I'm taking stemetil when i need to and sometimes my neck will hurt when i have it down. Should i go to a chiropractor?

Hello Dr Mathew. My name is Paulo and i have tinnitus since February of this year. Have some degree of hearing loss due to loud music exposure with headphones. Main cause probably. But my very high pitch is very modulated by the movements of neck and jaw. Also i have bad posture and very stiffed neck but no pain. Im very tall guy and i m 50. Never saw a chiropractor. Rotations of neck and jaw increases the sound. Is there possibly also some somatic degree? I have dental misalingnement, bad oclusion. Well its very hard to know what can i do to try to have some relief. Thanks Dr Mathew for your video. Will try some of these movements
Mine started after chiro put tens on my back neck
Please let me know how you are doing with these exercises or if you have any questions!
I had laminectomy on c5,6,7. In 2001. I have tinnitus in my right ear. Can I do those exercises. I also have anterior shoulder rotation in bilateral shoulders I’m 65. Any suggestions to help me?
You should be able to however I would make sure you are doing everything within a comfortable range, never over doing anything since the aim is to release tension, not to build it. Likewise, it’s always a good idea to check with your physician especially the one who did the surgery to ask.
