    Kano, from the bottom of my heart, you have no idea what Grime, your Grime, represents and has represented for 14 years for someone in Brussels, where Grime was inexistant for the most part of the last decade. Now a friend and I proudly do Brussels Grime, and none of it would have happened if your music did not have an impact as early as 2004, even 2002.
    I have always and will always support the scene, and your music specifically.
    You have been an international sensation for longer than you think.
    Thank you, sincerely, for everything. From London to Brussels, 140 BPM all day

    Im from the US and I've listened to Kano for a over 10 years now, its bizarre to me that its taken this long for him to get as big as he is now. He's a talented guy and he deserves more fans

    I really think Grime is gettin' more and more attention and this is good. I respect Kano because he still makes music with a message, not like other Grime MC's these days. Thums up i-D! You deserve it for this.

    People wearing more adidas might also be influenced by adidas being increasingly more popular in the sneaker game. Real hyped shoes rn are often stuff like ultra boosts, nmds or even yeezys. Since this seems similar to rap and since the sneaker game is kinda big in the hip hop/ rap audience it might influence the clothing style quite a bit.

    K.A!!!!!! Only Real dons know about Stratford Rex😅😂.. So glad I was born in the sweet spot. Seeing the beginning of the genre & experiencing the rebirth. New generation. The evolution. Next coming of the Genre. The Mainstream transition..

    Whats the difference between Grimes and rap?

    • @annielou7060
      @annielou7060 8 лет назад +2

      there is none, grime is a subgenre of rap from england. it's like gangster rap, that's still rap but a more specific genre

      Grime is always 140 bpm, and there are a bunch of other stuff. I forget it though.

      Its not different its just a genre inside of rap Americas version of this would probably be the Drill movement

      Depends who you ask really, as others have said it can be considered a sub-genre of hip-hop. But it has distinguishing features that link it to UK music like garage and dub. Wiley and others pioneered it with the creation of Eskibeat, then with dizzee it all blew up. In the early days lyrics weren't a major factor, it was all about the energy of the track and how well the MC could flow over the beat

      Grime comes from garage music and is electronic 140BPM heavy. Whereas rap is much slower and relies on more percussion.
