Really impressive how quick you went through the workflow while explaininh it. I love how it came out, except for the windows they look a bit muddy to me but I watched this one the phone

Nice tutorial. I use Raya Pro for my landscape photos. For interior I use sparingly, I do not like how the windows come out. I usually go with the flash/ambient editing for interior and do windows pull.

Thats right, Interior photos with windows are mostly unusable in a super sunny day even with luminosity masks.

I just wanted to chime in here regarding some of the comments I have been reading. I have chatted with and used Hunter’s services when I was overloaded with work. His workflow is one of the best I have seen. With regards to what most in the industry call “Flambient” (flash/ambient) blending, it’s the way most do prefer and I believe Hunter himself prefers as I believe I read in a comment way back. But there are times when all ambient blend is the much preferred way or method. There are rooms where it’s difficult to get a good flash exposure. Rooms with tall wooden ceilings and beams, rooms with dark colored walls which will absorb much of the light our flashes put out, etc, etc.. I feel this method is much more suitable for those shooting conditions. Just my thoughts.

What happens when you have over 50 photos per shoot? This is too much time for one photo.

Agreed, I'd recommend a single exposure ambient raw and a flash raw (sneak a grey card in the frame to clone out later) for the colors. Then, either 50/50 it, luminosity mode if it looks ok, or hand brush areas. For most small to medium sized rooms, it takes 1-3 minutes per photo. It's easy to get obsessed with fine details but most real estate agents won't even give a damn (and certainly won't pay you for the extra trouble)...just my 2 cents.

Hunter, i am seeing for the first time the Raya Pro suite; which package do you recommend? Your quite a speedy photoshopper, very impressive!

Hunter, I'm not sure if you are still monitoring comments on this video. I found your video in research of Raya Pro, particularly from other users other than Jimmy himself. 😊 I understand the workflow with PS: it's all about great precision with masking, tight control with opacity etc. Great. But as an avid Lightroom user I'm still wondering if you couldn't have almost the same output with LR alone: it creates 14-bit HDR-DNGs, you have plenty controls over shadows, highlights etc., you can paint (= 'mask') almost everything into any area you want (= different White Balance above the window, more contrast into the trees outside, more saturation in the sofa area). What are your thoughts about that?

yo I like your workflow a lot but there is one question i would like to ask you the contrast from the trees outsite the window are not that sharp or hasn't any contrast in it. is there any way to solve this ? kind regards J smith

Does the raya pro plugin work for flash + HDR/Ambient ?

Honestly, too much trouble. Get a natural light photo, get a flash one to fill the light. Get them to photoshop like smart objects. Stack them. Duplicate the flash one and hide it. The other flash one on top of the natural photo, reduce opacity its to 50%, more and less. Perfect light. Take care of the exterior with the other flash one with a hidden layer. Merge layers. Get final touch in lightroom. Perfect photo. 10 sec.

I am not convinced that the result would be good, but I am always eager to learn, have you got some of your work that you edited like that uploaded somewhere?
