    I haven't had a chance to hear these yet. I do own the Cincotres and I like them a lot. The Cincotres has the same case and eartips as the Arete, though the cable does look different. The Eletech Baroque eartips are the way to go with Ziigaat iems.

      I like feauls h570, penon liquer orange and divinus wide on my doscincos.

    • @hazi5961
      @hazi5961 Месяц назад +2

      @Hijynx87 I found the H570 pretty good. The Divinus Velvets weren't that great for me as they added a treble peak. BGVP Wide Bore and Penon Green & White tips were my other 2 tips that I liked.

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  Месяц назад +2

      I'm thinking of getting the Eletech Baroque tips since I've heard so many good things about them. After trying a bunch of different ear tips with the Arete, I found the Divinus Velvet wide bore worked best for me, especially for enhancing the treble perception. Do you think the Cincotres is bassy? Have you compared it to the Doscinco?

    • @hazi5961
      @hazi5961 Месяц назад +2

      @Atechreviews Yes, I believe the Cincotres is bassy, but it is very tip dependent. I think the Eletech Baroque Tips really help the bass by slightly lowering the mid-bass and extending the sub-bass. It also allows for deeper insertion, which helps the treble as well.
      Supposedly, there was a Stealth Re-Tune of the Cincotres. I haven't been able to confirm this for myself, but supposedly, the earlier models after initial release are warmer and bassier.
      I haven't had a chance to hear the Doscinco, though many have said it is a more aggressive V shaped Performer 5. I find that hard to believe having owned a Performer 5 for a few years now.

    Somehow I don't like the Pilgrim , they have a tinsy , tinni sound to me , the Bass not as good quality than the Aful Performer 8, vocal timbre and Tonality are lost in comparison to P8 , although P8 isn't perfect but i still prefer the P8 over Pilgrim for sure. Thank you.

      Most dongles these days have low output impedance and sound great-even the Apple dongle works fine, though I’d recommend other options. Ideally, you'll want something with low output impedance, a neutral sound (not too bassy or warm), and a low noise floor.
      For budget-friendly choices, I’d go with the FiiO KA11, Moondrop Dawn Pro, or Blon V1. They all perform really well for the price. If you prefer Bluetooth, the FiiO BTR13 or BTR15 are solid picks and come with EQ options too.
      There are better dongles out there, but you don’t really need them unless you're after a serious upgrade. The ones I mentioned will sound great, stay neutral, and perform without any noticeable noise.

      I have the same feeling, it's not how they sound with the stock cable, it's how cheap and flimsy the stock cables look that always upset me for a not so cheap from an IEM set.

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  2 дня назад

      Are you referring to the original version of the DX3 Pro? It has a low 1-ohm output impedance, which is ideal for the Arete and ensures the frequency response remains unaffected. You should have no issues, and it will sound great as intended.

      @@KillWija Oh, you were referring to the DX 3 Pro +. In that case, I'd recommend reaching out to someone who owns it or emailing Topping directly to confirm. @@KillWija These days, there are some fantastic budget dongles out there like the Moondrop Dawn Pro, Blon V1, and FiiO KA11. If you're after something with a bit more sound quality, the DUNU DTC 800 and Tanchjim Luna are excellent choices and they can handle most IEMs without breaking a sweat. What I really recommend though is the Topping L30 II. Pair it with the DX3 Pro+, and you won’t need to worry about amplifiers again, unless you specifically need balanced inputs or outputs.

    Tonality aside, how does the technicality of this iem compare to Pula PA02? (Resolution, detail, staging, separation, etc).

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  Месяц назад +1

      I'd say the resolution and detail retrieval of both are pretty similar, but the PA02 has a bit more treble detail. The PA02 also has better separation, whereas the Arete does alright but gets a bit blurry when the track gets busy. The soundstage on the Arete isn't wider than the PA02, but it feels taller and has a sense of height. Plus, the imaging on the Arete is much better compared to the PA02.

    There is no such thing as a 'gaming IEM'. It either sounds good, or it doesn't.

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  Месяц назад +5

      Of course, a good IEM will sound great with anything, but for specific games, an IEM with certain features can give you a competitive edge or help you hear details more clearly. For example, as mentioned in the video, the Arete has an excellent sense of height, which is fantastic for gaming and movies but less useful for music. That said, you're right, if an IEM sounds good, it can definitely be used for gaming. The Arete isn’t just a gaming IEM; it performs well for music too.

      @joga you are 100% wrong

    • @joga_bonito_aro
      @joga_bonito_aro Месяц назад +3

      @@Atechreviews True, but I would presume that I could potentially fiddle around with an EQ such that I boost specific sounds of a game. Also, if you want a better spatial awareness, nothing beats sheer size (ie. Over Ear). And you would get even better spatial awareness if the over ears are an open construction (as a rule of thumb).
      I always compare these things with car centric stuff. For example spatial awareness could be compared to the torque of an engine. If you want to get big heavy things rolling, you require torque. And to get torque your engine needs size. It's the same for audio. For spatial awareness, you just need size so that the entire ear gets to experience the sound, not just the ear channel.

    • @Jakob3xD
      @Jakob3xD Месяц назад +5

      @@joga_bonito_aro You can't really measure it though, so comparing a hard number like torque to it is not helpful analogy at all imo. Also the closeness of iems is not particularly a disadvantage here because no detail gets missed. And at least in my case a 40$ iem feels better for gaming then my Sennheisers.
