    This was a lot of fun! I'm very much a beginner, so this one was perfect for me. The only problem i ran into was when I used a blowdryer. This was my first time doing that, and I think my paint must have been too wet, so it got a little messy. But, it's all a learning process! Thanks for the fun video!

    • @PaintedWillowArt
      @PaintedWillowArt  2 года назад

      I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! Yes....you do need to be a little careful with the blow dryer if the paint is too wet - it can splatter. I probably should have mentioned that - sorry. To prevent that, you can let it dry a little before blow drying, or...you can start by holding the blow dyer farther away to to begin with. And yes, it is ALWAYS a learning process - for all of us. I like to think of it as an adventure.😂 Thanks for watching & giving it a try!❤️❤️❤️

      Suzy - YOU are exactly who I make these videos for. I believe that art should be based on fun and experimenting and playing. And if it doesn't turn out exactly like you think it should, try it again! I'm so glad you're here....and I agree....it's NEVER too late.

      Hi Peg! Oh those early videos I made....hadn't figured out how to list supplies in the description yet.🤣🤣 Thanks for asking. This is the Art Philosophy Tropicals watercolor set. It's a good set that has great colors & won't break the bank.

    Just tried this and unfortunately I ended up with a little mud in between the window and the door in my middle house, but I don't mind, I am learning all the time. Thank you for sharing..xx

    • @PaintedWillowArt
      @PaintedWillowArt  4 года назад +2

      Hi Kaye! Sorry so long to reply. Sometimes RUclips doesn't notify me that there are comments... :( Mud happens to the best of us from time to time. Top 3 things I can tell you to help avoid it are....1) try the colors you plan to use on a scrap piece of paper to see what they do when they flow together. If they make mud on the sample, try different color or different shade of the same color. Color theory like red + blue = purple seems simple, but you have to figure in warm and cool tones. A warm blue and a cool red often make mud. It can be hard to tell if your color is cool or warm, so that's why I like to try them on a scrap paper first - then there's no guess work - I can see if they'll mix nicely or not. 2) Don't over work the area where they flow together. Kinda let the paint do it's own thing and 3) If the mud isn't too bad, let all the paint dry and come back with a second coat of paint and see if that fixes some of it. Watercolor is mostly translucent, so layers can be subtle and sometimes just enough to help with the mud. Happy to help if you ever have questions! :)
