I don’t get it.. The video obviously shows the ODS mount on a Century Arms C39V2 which has a milled receiver, but if you go to the website, it specifically says that the mount is for stamped receivers.. wtf?

The work for the AKM F.S.B install is not that hard. But I get it---there are guy's who only want to swing the hammer, they gives 0 fucks how said hammer works or was put together. I really would like to try one of these, it should theoretically be WAY MORE solid than a dust cover mount. Think of it this way---the Russian ZenitCo system is 250$ for the lower hand guard and 300$ for the dust cover that hinges into it. THEY ARE VERY SOLID and hold zero but fuck me that is a lot of cash for a mounting solution. This dude is onto something and I feel like we should have had this years ago . Good on you brother. For the end result---I think 200$ is fair. On the high side for sure, but I get it. I am just happy with any new AK innovation--period. We need a lot more of it.......MAKE KALOSHNIKOV GREAT AGAIN!!!!!
If you want to battle with the best like Midwest Industries with their American defense quick detach. If I were you. I would drop that price to 120 to 150 bucks. I was down for getting this mount till I realized it was $200. Which is absolutely crazy. I can buy almost any of the top-of-the-line quick detach mounts for any rifle for that type of price. I will say Occam has done a fantastic job of creating a small mount with very low weight. I won't take that from you. This is an "operator's only mount" unless you have the money to blow. I'm familiar with machine work and there is less time in that mount by at least half of what Mid-West Industries is creating. Way less material as well. So why such the extraordinary price?

What is the difference between this and the SOMAK? ( Scout optics mount, AK) which is available at Circle 10 AK. I have one of those. It bolts into the rear sight mount on the AK, but bolts being the key word. Plus won't the optic block the iron sight portion? When the attachment screw runs horizontally thru the pic rail? Just some questions guys

Learn how to properly sight in and use the leaf elevation sights. At 800 meters (not yards) the 762x39 is still accurate inside 2.5 feet target. However, as with any firearm, the remaining power is minimal. At 600 meters my AK is putting 30 tds in a 6" target consistently! I will challenge anyone with this "iron sight" on their AK vs my 800 m leaf sight any day.

@Star Gazer1212 I never had an issue and I have Field Sport $25 dollar optic on it. The optic had the glass come off, the brightness settings don’t lock and only the green LED works on it, and oh yes you can not read the turret settings. The issues are not related to heat but that the optic is just cheap.

Remove the red dot and then use the BUILT IN rear groove on the mount.

People Not knowing ak's...there are plenty of solutions out there that are Sturdy. Zenitco is The way to go, as Well as Side moins. Problème in The US ils Not the Optic mountd it's awfull builds....
