- ♥Hey everyone, I have been growing out my hair for over ten years now with plenty of trims and small cuts! I decided to finally post my journey in photos! I realize that this time lapse is not like a traditional one where it's sped up and taken at the same point. In the beginning part of my journey I did not take many photos, nor did I ever plan to do this kind of video. I am thinking of doing a year time lapse from the end of 2020 to the end of 2021 where I take it in the same setting.

I sometimes wash my hair with finesse shampoo and conditioner, sometimes I will use herbal essences shampoo only because it smells good. Is it a good or bad idea. I mostly use natural shampoo , but I still switch sometimes. Please let me know. Thank you
I don't think using brands like that are bad per se. Especially if you don't have a sensitive scalp. Many people in the long hair community have grown beautiful and healthy hair using brands that were not natural or organic. It sounds like you are still trying to figure out what your hair likes and experimenting with what works best for your hair type. It's important to use what works best for you ❤️ 🙂

My hair length is currently mid back. I hope to grow it to hips or tailbone length. My hair grows quite fast. Also those who are also growing out their hair. Good luck!

Almost to my hips. My hair seems to be growing rapidly since I took collegen. I lost some hair due to stress but it’s getting long and still looks healthy. I’m getting close to my goal of tailbone.

Beautiful! I’ve been growing mine out, I’ve always had pretty much long hair just not that long, but I wish one day I will. Just mine is super thick and wavy and it’s hard to handle even washing lol

My hair must grow really fast.. I got it cut shoulder length in June 2019 and now, in November 2020, It is more than halfway down my back..

Aww that is so sweet! 🥺 And being so young you have youth working for you. ♥️ Best thing is to stay consistent and be patient as its a long process. Keep up with trims as needed, find hair products that work for you, and really get to know your hair and what it needs. Of course make sure to eat healthy meals and nutritious food to help you and your hair grow. Also feel free to check out some of my other videos where I share more tips 💜 💜

I'm going for knee as my next big goal. 💕 Bleached/dyed hair tends to grow at the same rate as natural hair but it can break off faster. As long as you are keeping up with deep conditioning treatments and strengrhening treatments you should be able to retain more length. Its totally doable, just takes more tlc. xx ❤️❤️

I recently saw a photo of your hair in the FB group. Your hair looks so healthy and beautiful! I'm happy where my hair is now so I'm in no rush to get to knee. And because my hair is very fine, the ends are fragile and once the pandemic starts to pass I want to get trims every three months. It will probably take two to four years to get their realistically. And god willining if my hair grows that long. 🙂 ❤️

Great video, Antonia! I promised my FB long-hair friends that I'd let it grow to my knees...but I've realized that I don't WANT knee-length hair anymore. I don't want to dread washing it and having to take 20 minutes to comb out the tangles and snarls. So today I cut off about 5 inches. It's still past my butt and I may decide to go shorter. I want FREEDOM and when it gets longer than my arms, I get annoyed with it. But I LOVE seeing your amazing hair growth. Just beautiful! (Christine Aleta)

We all have to start somewhere. In 2009 I did my big chop and it was just below my shoulders. Sadly I don't have any photos and the first one I could find was January 2010 when it was almost APL. You totally got this! I think you will be surprised how long your hair will grow. 🙂💖
How can you control your long hair when you go to toilet?
I wear my hair in a bun or braid most days. If its in a braid or down I just bring it over my front. Also when I sit down I bring my hair over my shoulder so I don't sit on it. I get so used to moving, it's a natural instinct when I go to sit down 😂

Its so healthy 💖 I watched your capillary schedule video and i think you are right.Sometimes less is more.There is no need to do hair masks every single time you wash your hair.I only do hair masks when i feel like my hair feels like it needs it and my hair is much better now !! Aww thank you so much! Happy to hear you are doing better now with less hair masks! I do drink quite a bit of water. I drink about 2 to 3 liters a day of filtered water. I also drink tea, herbal coffee, regular coffee, and I have a juicer I like to juice veggies and fruits 1 to 2 times a week. I try to avoid drinking from plastic water bottles and opt for a glass water bottle. Plastic contains estrogen mimicking compounds that can mess with our hormones. And hip length is such a good length! ✌️ 💕

I can see you are doing bodybuilding ( i dont know if you still compete) the thing is that i heard that sweat damages the hair.I do go to the gym.What do you do when you are working out? do you put it in a braid? Do you wash it afterwards? What do you do 😞 id like to know
I am not competing at the moment. I do not go to a gym anymore but I'm still active. I work out at home, lift weights, do circuit type training, sprints, and light cardio like walking/hiking. I am in the process of filming my exercising with long hair video where I share my favorite exercises for different types of exercises. Usually a braid fits for most of mine. I also share a b out washing. If I am super sweaty I will just wash my hair again regardless if I just washed the day before. I have tried dry shampoos including DIY ones and I'm not a fan of them. I'll explain more in my future video 😊❤️

Not necessarily that long. I trimmed my hair a lot and maintained at certain lengths for awhile. I think you can do it quicker. 🙂 ❤️

I got a buzz cut today and I’m never cutting my hair for a LOOOONG time. Probably for about 10 years. Im a guy btw lol.
My hair was down to my butt but it grew in a V shape and I hated it so I cut it below my waist where it no longer makes a V shape and instead it’s a horizontal line. But I also cut my bangs above my eyebrows and I hate them lol. I feel so ugly :( I just hope my hair will grow back to where it was but healthier and I hope my bangs will grow fast… I don’t know why I cut my bangs I’m so dumb sometimes :( seeing your hair reminds me that I can also achieve beautiful hair like yours! It’s one of my dreams that I must accomplish

I did cut my hair about a year ago to my waist and now I'm growing it out again.
My hair keeps getting super damaged at the ends and I HAVE to cut it off, Im so sad!!
Before I posted this video, my hair was like that from using heat, dye, and going a long time without trimming. Regular trims every 3 to 6 months, avoiding harsh dyes and chemicals, and limiting heat are helpful. I wish you the best in your hair journey. 💜

10 years? As someone with middle eastern roots, I grow about one inch a month and would reach that in 3 years max 😂

Can I ask how often you got trims?
I have very fine Asian hair and I'm trying to grow mine out to waist length.
My hair was just below my breast but my ends looked really sad from being outgrown short layers so I got a trim and it's right above my breast now.
I really did not want to sacrifice my length but I think my ends really needed it.
Aww thanks so much Cristine! I love waist length hair! Before 2015 I got my hair trimmed rather frequently about every 3 months. From 2015 on I went a little longer in between trims usually every 4 to 6 months to get more growth and then circa 2019 I started doing a half inch to an inch about every 3-4 months. This allowed me to experience small growth but also keep thicker ends and prevent splits. Right now I cut back to tailbone and I'm trimming more off more frequently to maintain. ❤️

I see you’re a harp fan. A family member recommended the instrument to me, is it easy to learn? I mean every instrument takes a while but you know what I’m sayin?
I love the harp! I say go for it. Lever harps are more affordable and easier to learn than pedal in my opinion.
My first harp was a mid east minstrel harp, not the best quality but was great to learn on. I have now upgraded to a Christina Triplett Therapy harp, much better sound quality and string tension
The harp is also a forgiving instrument and it still sounds beautiful if you make a mistake.
If you know how to play piano/keyboard the harp is very similar in it is set up chromatic, cbdefgab, only the sharps (black keys) are used when you press the lever up. Hopefully that makes sense.
So yes, go for it! The harp is such an enjoyable instrument. 😊💕
@@naturallyantonia Oh okay thats sounds simple, of course I am not a pro-ultra-master at piano but I know all the notes. I am a digital musician, but I don't know where to get a 'digital' harp so this may be helpful!

@@naturallyantonia so basically I never had a haircut since my chilhood lol and my hair might become weak which can cause hair fall and it's not a big deal for me since my hair grows extremely fast so yeah

Nice video! I’m also growing out my hair. About a year ago my hair was cut to shoulder length and I hated it, so I promised myself to take the best care of my hair until it was really long and healthy. It’s going to take another year or so to reach my goal, though. Thanks for the inspiration!

Great question! I haven't dyed my hair in over 10 years and let my natural color grow out. Other than using a blow dryer every so often I don't use any heating tools. I use cool to warm water in the shower but not never hot. I use natural hair products, Aquableu is my current favorite shampoo and condtioner. I do apple cider vinegar rinses every so often. I used wide tooth combs, wooden brushes, and nylon and boar brushes. I make sure to eat a balanced diet. I get trims as needed

I keep getting ads on Facebook and now Instagram about these products called HAIR JAZZ that claim promoting hair growth. Have you seen those or have any thoughts? I'm probably never going to try them but who knows ❤
Aww darn youtube! And yes I have seen those ads for hair jazz too. I'm skeptical about it too. It may stimulate some growth but the ads may be hyping it up more than it really is. I'll have to look more into.

I get it, your hearts gotta be in it and you have to be happy with yourself. Super long hair doesn't make me happy anymore so every couple months I'm getting a little more trimmed off. Thinking of making a reverse time lapse of all my trims and cuts. 🙂 ❤️

What made you decide to grow out your fringe, personally, I prefer all one length
I wanted a change and wanted to get my hair all one length. I also have oily skin and found my bangs caused pimples on my fore head sometimes. And being active, bangs annoyed me during exercise.
