A neat little fact that I learned after filming this video- the Paris-Brest was created in 1910 to commemorate the Paris-Brest-Paris bicycle race. Its circular shape is intended to look like the wheel of a bicycle, how fun! Let me know, should I attempt more Great British Bake Off style recipe challenges like this one?
Also, as far as I can tell, the episode that this particular technical challenge was featured in was a special series of the show called the Great Sports Relief Bake Off featuring celebrity guests. Unfortunately I have been unable to find any clips of this particular challenge!
Ok but… why not Buttercup ON Great British Bake Off? I also found the bit where you guys were judging like you were on the show 😂 very awesome! Great job!
This is quite honestly THE most interesting and unique set-up for a cooking channel, it's a little weird but I can still appreciate all the work that goes into these, especially considering they're legit cooking videos that showcase some real skill.
Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot! And of course, it’s absolutely supposed to be a bit unusual, that’s what makes it so fun! To be perfectly honest, my original intent for the show was to be much more on the silly side(think Swedish Chef from the Muppets), but I found I had so much fun sharing actual recipes. Not to mention there’s also sometime extra funny about playing it straight without acknowledging the unusual costume most of the time. 😅
Alrighty, finally sat down and watched one of your videos an colour me impressed. It's impressive that you can manage to do anything that requires decent dexterity to accomplish in that suit of yours. Also it's just a nice n chill watch, a nice way to wind things down to be good n cozy. I must ask, what is your actual vision range/radius in the suit? Must need to be really careful to manage this without making a mess.
Thank you so much for the incredibly kind words, it means a lot! While the vision in my suit is pretty decent for this type of costume, I still have very little peripheral vision, and am unable to see below the muzzle without looking straight down. This means I need to place all my items very carefully and remember where everything is, as most of the times when I am grabbing things I can’t actually see what I am picking up!
@@BakeUpButtercup I guess the whole trick to being a performer like this is selling it all like it's natural. Well done, though I can imagine it's very time consuming to get all your needed shots setup when you need to be so careful with the place. Best of luck going forward. Oh and if you ever feel like giving yourself a challenge, I highly recommend a black forest gateau. It'd definitely challenge your piping skills at a minimum.
Interesting that butter cup puts on the tail even when her back is not facing the camera most of the time. 🤔 Also the part where butter cup eats is always the best so cute.
I’m so glad to hear that! I always debate whether to keep those in. It can be hard to share mistakes, but I thought it was important to see the process, mishaps and all! 💖
Haha, it certainly looks a bit like one! Quite different in taste, although we did enjoy the rest for breakfast the next morning, a very lovely morning treat!
It’s so hard to build up a following on RUclips, especially with very niche content like mine. But I am so grateful for the wonderful viewers that I do have, and strive to create the best content I can! 💖
Bake-Off is one of my favorite shows ^!^ This was so fun! Loved how you just rolled with all the curveballs haha. Would love to see more challenges like this! "My eyes may be big, but my eyesight is poor" 😂
A good question! Pralines in the US are different than what was made here, which is much closer to what we would call a brittle. In this case, a praline is just caramel coated nuts without anything else added. In the US pralines are typically cooked to a softer candy stage and cream is added. I hope that makes sense!

Gosh, that would be an absolute(and very far-fetched) dream! And I’m so glad you enjoyed, it was really fun!

It’s important to have the tail, haha! 😁 And I’m glad you enjoy, this one was particularly challenging to eat as Buttercup, haha!
i'm glad you don't cut out those little mistakes, makes it less scary to try it myself someday :^D
that was a lovely video

I just like watching the dog cook.
That's a fancy 🥯

Now I see how you put the "mess" in "domestic"
Haha, indeed! 😂
Why do these video have such great quality yet such low view counts

My sister shared this video with me and I had to subscribe.
How lovely! Thank you so much! 🥰

It’s such a wonderful show, and has been a big inspiration to me! I’m so glad you enjoyed, I will definitely have to try another one soon!

Said I'd come check out your RUclips channel and I did! Kinda wanna see a Germam Chocolate Cake video. Don't know if you've made it but I'm looking!
Thank you! I haven’t done a German chocolate cake yet, a good suggestion!
