Although he's getting old he's still able to produce outstanding performances as he did at Euros in Sheffield last January 2012. He was amazing and much better than all the other skaters who are 10 years younger. In fact, experts say Plushenko's even better than before! An immense talent indeed.
@soul416-you sound very bitter- even for a Yagudin fan, I always liked both skaters even though I prefer Plushenko. I think that like all geniuses Plush had his own way of doing things-he will never be universally loved,He was always super confident-people thought that was cute when he was 15 and annoying when he was has 23 and had lost twice in 4 years, he annoys people, he annoyed Yagudin because he wouldn't wait his turn and insisted on winning at 15(why not -he needed to win-he was living in desperate poverty) You don't have to like him but try to speak the truth. If he has no artistry then why was he the youngest skater ever to get a perfect artistic score,How did he manage 11 perfect sixes in one performance (no one else ever has) why did he produce so many ovations at Art on ice, opera on ice and in competition? why do skaters like Lambiel and Candeloro like him so much? He is the most consistent skater of all time and you talk about him falling, even when he was competing against Yags (as a teenager he hardly ever fell) and as for injuries and illness, PLushenko skated with a fever in the euros and he won, he skated with pain injections in his knee in the euros at 29 and he won, he skated after back surgery that should have finished his career and helped Russia to team gold. He is a force of nature and probably the greatest of all time, he has done the impossible. This progamme, Carmen 2002, his carmen opera performance 2012, tosca, je suis malade, a town which doesn't exist, Nijinsky, moonlight sonata, adagio, Petersburg, the prisoner are all lovely artistic pieces,
@schnisha95 Who was second in Vancouver? Where were the youngs? You know, Evgeni don't thinks and we also don't think, that he will be gold medalist in Sochi. He wants to skate on Oly, what will organize in his homeland. He truly loves Russia. (When he was young an american skating club invite him and his coach, but he didn't move, in turn he was very poor.) He would be happy, if he would win any medal. His faithful fans support him. Always. Go Zhenya! Go !
I love how his hair helps to show off his movements. Still I hope this Olympics won't just be a given that Plushenko will win, although, I must say that he and Yagudin battling each other made two very powerful and complete skaters.
And he won in Sheffield , he is 7 times European Champion. But he was injured!! He has been receiving 5 painkiller injection before the LP. He is a hero. His LP in Sheffield. /watch?v=ZOW1gt2Hrnk :)))))))))))))))))))) In february he had surgery again.I think he will be stronger in next season and his new choreographer is P. Camerlengo. Thank God!
OK. You are aboveboard. Yes, his nationals performance weren't his best, he said: “Naturally, I am not in my best shape right now,” he admitted. “I underwent a surgery and I have been receiving injections. Plushenko had last summer surgery on his knee. "It was mentally difficult after such a long absence to skate again. My knee is still not fully recovered, but I'm happy," “For me the most important thing was to avoid becoming a laughing stock,” he added.
continue: “There is always that nagging fear that you would step on the ice and proceed to double all the jumps. That would have been embarrassing.” “Frankly, the shape I am in now is not the one for Euro or World Champships,” Plushenko confessed.“It would have been madness even to contemplate it.I would have finished in 10th place, or may be in fifth or sixth. This is something I would rather avoid. But I am not afraid of defeats this season. I still have another surgery planned on my left knee.
@lala630312 oh, i agree he was the best skater ever. i love plushenko. but don't you think he's getting kind of old? i mean, he's 27! or is it 28 now? that's pretty old for most athletes. actually, i think it's incredible for him to be this good at his age.
alright, sorry, i know i'm acting a little rashly right now, so let me get myself straight. after the 2010 olympics, when people kept siding with plushenko, i believe lysacek won. plushenko did great for his age, and i agree that lysacek was wrong to play it safe, just as plushenko said. then i watched his 2012 nationals performance, and honestly, from what i see, the other medalists skated better than him. i haven't seen any of his performances since then, cuz i didn't bother, so i don't know.

Such an angelic, dear Zhenya............thanks for sharing this video with us........
very passionate
zhenia is the best
You're right.
He was forced to give up ballet when he was a little boy... of course, to become a figure skater!
And he won in Sheffield , he is 7 times European Champion. But he was injured!! He has been receiving 5 painkiller injection before the LP. He is a hero.
His LP in Sheffield.

He really loves Edvin Marton lol
Glad to see him back, its going to be one heck of a season
Beautiful. His love of dancing always gets through. He's spectacular. Go Evegeni, I anxiously await 2014 at Sochi!
Gorgeous triple axel. I have missed seeing him. He has such presence and command of the ice!

Long Live Our Little Prince :)))
@FleetingProductions He applied for reinstatement . He is preparing his new programs for the next season.

Равных ему нет! Уникум ФК!
Yee, and the americans says Evgeni isn't artistry...... Do you understand?
Lammy should learn how to bring to the ice a trixel also! At Olymps only passion won't be enough.
I must be really a strange being since I like them both...
жГи солнце!
BRAVO
great music...what is the song?
that's his new SP for the upcoming season.
@lala630312 sure, what ever you say...
@FleetingProductions Yes, i know...
@schnisha95 Go Zhenya go!!!
stefaninata ужос это ты ... а он олимпийский чемпион
well, skaters these days suck, so that's kind of understandable... and i'm sorry, if experts say that, then those "experts" are a complete joke.
I agree... ;-)
?donde están las GRANDES actuaciones de plutchenko? Porque no hay ni un solo vídeo. Sigo a plutchenko desde el 2004.

❤
He still doesn't have any transitions or Choreography. Amazing skater though...but blah blah program as per usual. :(
:))))
@Rakuda you can't wait to see him get his ass kicked? i like that :)

never understood why the judges always kissed his ass. he used to have a good technique but i never saw any bit of artistry in him.
Тихий ужОс!
never liked him - nothing changed now...but thanks for the video
well sure, but what pisses me off is that he still gets first place, even when he didn't skate as well as the others.
