Are you sure it would be possible to buy another scanner (Einscan HX for example) and use it with VX Model, via export- import method?

Yes. VX Model is a stand along product that can import STL files from any 3D Scanner.

Which was the format you imported the cloud of points? I got it in .E57 and .dwf but I can't introduce it in design X. Any suggestion?

Can you open the file in Faro Scene software and then export a .ptx, .pts or Faro Scene format? Design X can read .ptx, .pts and also has a plugin to open Faro (fls) files.

but I thought GM4SW did automatic feature tree building? or is that too good to be true?..... scanning seems cool but still quite a bit of work for more complex parts, you still need to basically build everything out mostly manually, I can just do that by hand measuring like I've done for the last ten years....

Hi Bike, there is no automated feature tree building. 3D scanning is always the easy part of the problem. Creating the CAD model can take hours to days to complete. As far as hand measurement versus 3D scanning it really comes down to the complexity of the part. Simpler parts are probably better off measured by hand very complex or organically shaped parts will benefit from a 3D scanner. @@EMS3D thanks for reply i want to design easy and fast rubber(ex Bushes,seals etc) and plastic product (ex. Game console,Automativ parts etc ) after that mould design.
