I love Joyce Carol Oates, but this one had me confused in the end. This was a book I couldn’t put down, but I came here hoping to get an explanation of the ending.
One question maybe you can help me with. At the very end, G. tells us that one of her nephews drive her to meet a character. Well, is this another of G's unreliable facts? Or where are this nephews coming from? I really enjoyed the book btw.
Just finished her book The Other You. It appears to be a series of short stories, but they interconnect. Highly recommend it.
My very favorite author!!! I recommend all of her novels.
Try her book " Babysitter" and "We were the Mulvaneys" you'll love them
Thank you! Adding to my list now
I started Babysitter! She is awesome. 48 clues blew my mind

Sorry, I could not recall that to answer your question, but am holding out hope another viewer can!
Oates' sister is actually severely autistic..so that may have been a kind of inspiration for the book
That is interesting, and would explain how well she writes certain characters.
