One of the best books I read this year was also centered around Wall Street-Private Equity by Carrie Sun. Shattering memoir of her life working at a hedge fund but also her cultural identity from China pressured her, Cultural Revolution in China, and her parents to do well in school and work to soar above your abilities and succeed at all costs to yourself. And what a price you pay for this. She had some harrowing accounts of being a student in college that I do not wish on anyone! Highly recommend.

Loved Carrie Sun's memoir (Private Equity...I think was the name?)

I have been wanting to read Grady Hendrix but haven’t gotten around to it. Knife has been on my radar too! I would be interested in a literary journey of his work. I haven’t read any of his work either. Great reviews!
