At my dad's viewing I got tired of hearing the I'm sorry phrase. I saw my chance with one of my uncles and I replied with why did you kill him? The look of horror on his face was priceless.
I can imagine it got tiring. Honest question here: Was there something that people said that you appreciated more in that moment? I never want to just say the same things that other people are saying, but want people to know that I’m sorry (but without saying the same stuff, ya know). This is just coming from a place of respect of others in time of grief. Sorry for your loss, man. And that is hilarious about your uncle lol.
@@zmitchell15I started saying "I'm sorry _to hear that."_ or "I'm so sorry _for you."_ It feels like it creates more engagement in the conversation as it goes. But honestly, it's more about where you are coming from, I think people can tell subconsciously when you are genuine.
For real idk why ppl don't understand that shit. I realized this at like 12 years old with out any personal death. Just thought, huh that must get annoying and doesn't help in even the slightest. But ppl just do what ever everyone else says is the norm. Everyone's sheep man lol
Much appreciated for this Ryan and John, my day has been made with Tombstone pizza and window peeking, thanks for keeping his memory alive with new tales.
Love hearing how the farley family handles grief. Its how our family does too. After my grandpa passed in hospice, my uncle without skipping a beat called dibs on the bed my grandpa had used. Family surrounding the bed with nurses and we're all laughing.
I've never seen this channle but will absolutely return. Please give John Farley our love and tell him THANK YOU. I was in my teens when Chris died and he was and will forever be my favorite comedian/person on tv. He was a great man and made my life better everytime I saw him
Ryan, one of the best interviews ever we all felt like we knew Chris. Listening to that laugh and sharing the stories such a midwestern troubled catholic soul. Such great stories
I've LOVED John Farley ever since he was working on Conan's show, and he was HILARIOUS on Lights Out with David Spade!! 😂 It's such a bummer that show never got brought back after the pandemic. This was an AMAZING episode!!! One that will be one of the most viewed eventually. Anyway John is just as funny as Chris was, in his own unique style but still he's got some similar traits comedically that Chris had, in my humble opinion. Love you John Farley! Bless you my good sir! Peace and much Love and Respect from ATX (Austin TX ) 😎🙏✌️💚
Man! Such a great episode! Great to hear the stories from someone so close to him. Those little laughs sound just like Chris. Such an icon gone too soon
As a huge fan and fellow Midwesterner, I have made my pilgrimage to visit Chris's final resting place. It was a big mausoleom, kind of cold and empty. When I found his grave, I had a moment of silence until I backed into a cross or statue. Instinctively, I just said to my husband, "what did you do?!" And giggled my ass off. Chris was my childhood. I still quote him weekly. If you do not get my Tommy Boy quote, we can't hang. Miss you, big guy!
I saw Chris at second city do the motivational speaker at second city before SNL. I'll never forget it. I want to say Phil Hartman and Jann hooks were the parents. Nice memory.
“You ‘member … do you remember? When [Chris Farley put on David Spade’s coat, and he sings a little song like 🎶 fat guy in a little coat]? …… That was awesome.” RIP Chris 👏
The last statment about the random moment of remembering those who passed. That happens to me with my dad sometimes it makes sense. Other times I'm like wtf why did this hit me so hard.
17:2021:00 I can imagine that sucked so bad, finding Chris. My Dad suddenly collapsed and died in front of me. He was a lot like Chris and his boisterous charisma. Tried to tell me something but couldn’t get the words out. Similarly I had to call my mom and sister. A few months later I found my grandpa the morning of, tried to save him. Both sucked. This is a great topic for a pod, things like this are not often discussed in my family either.
When my father passed we had to joke to keep it together. We had a going joke with my fathers best friend that he would keep the old whores out while my mom was around but we had to handle any unknown siblings. It was quite a gathering of bikers truckers, cowboys, farmers and Marine vets.
Ugh, stop spreading the bad word about red meat. Guessing there was also a lot of processed garbage food, soda and heavy sugar/high fructose corn syrup usage? There’s your artery cloggers, leave red meat alone…
You're just going to act like Salt Lake City wasn't even part of your tour? I was so fucking excited to see you, Ryan. I bought 3 tickets to your show. Then I get an email this morning that it's CANCELLED?!. And NOW you start this episode talking about Denver and literally mention NOTHING about SLC? You have seriously disappointed me, man. I was actually and truly UPSET when I realized I won't be going to see you anymore. Youve let me down and I swear to God if you canceled because you didn't sell a lot of tickets, you obviously don't give a SHIT about the people who wanted to see you. Even if it was only me and the 2 others that were going to be with me. Says a lot about you that Denvers still on THE NEXT DAY. I'm pretty sure the reason I mentioned is exactly what happened. Having a really hard time still wanting to support you, when I payed $110 Worth of tickets to have it refunded. That's TWO YEARS of your patreon. I just can't even express how disappointed I am.
Life happens man. You have no idea why SLC got cancelled. It could have been due to so many variables that you can't even begin to fathom. You can't walk around having such a black and white reaction to circumstance.
Things happen man. I bought hundreds of dollars worth of tickets one winter for a concert and a snow blizzard shut down the entire city. The venue didn't offer refunds so my friends and I were out the money and didn't see the show ... So you got lucky they refunded.
I do find it odd that he promotes his shows so far in advanced. I've been seeing ads for SLC, Denver, Omaha, etc, for practically the entire year. It's confusing as to when he's actually going to be there.
John, you miss your brother's laugh, but your little chuckles sound just like Chris' giggles.
I hear it too❣️
Bread this comment before the moment and that giggle is spot on!❤
Awesome to hear some Chris Farley stories from his brother. Forever a legend
Wow he talks just like Chris. I close my eyes and I hear an old retired Chris Farley.
Crazy how much john sounds like chris, there are times when he laughs it sounds just like chris

Empathetic eyes and a sympathetic nod is the exact-right amount of communication.

"I don't like my information sung to me."
My new favorite quote.
Fantastic 300th Sickler!!!
Absolutely love this episode. John Farley, thank you for sharing Chris Farley stories.
Thank you so much Ryan we needed this and John is the best. R.I.P to the gangster Chris Farley, your memory is alive and well 😊
Such a sad day when we heard Chris Farley died. 💔
Thank you for the stories.
Ive never clicked onto a video with such a quickness. I love spotting you and your brothers in films and shows. Much love for your family ❤️

John Farley.... let the weight of guilt go. It is not your fault. Bless you for sharing with us.
Three centuries of highlighting the lowlights! Congratulations Ryan! Thank you for this show and helping me through some really rough times.
John. Ur brother brought so much joy to me and my friends much love and respect to u and ur family
Ryan, one of the best interviews ever we all felt like we knew Chris. Listening to that laugh and sharing the stories such a midwestern troubled catholic soul. Such great stories
I picture John being the straight man and Chris obviously the wildcard in their humor growing up
Fantastic ep

His little laugh sounds just like Chris’ laugh and that made me happy and sad at the same time. Great episode. ❤
There have only been 3 celebrity deaths that have affected me, but Chris’ death was the first and his loss still hurts. ❤
Who are the other two?
Robin?
Norm?
Kennedy?
Please don't tell me it's Jesus, or y'all are just fucking with me.
Happy TOOSDEE, y’all!
I could listen to John tell stories for several more hours
Awesome hearing Chris stories great guest have him come back
He played a hell of a first half.
Man! Such a great episode! Great to hear the stories from someone so close to him. Those little laughs sound just like Chris. Such an icon gone too soon
You gotta have John on The Way Back and have him share photos/videos if he's up to it!

John is cool in his own right! I'm surprised we haven't seen him more.
Great one, thanks guys!
Thanks!
This was awesome!
Ay, big shout out to Moms for the care box of smokes, fireworks and beer. Legendary
“You ‘member … do you remember? When [Chris Farley put on David Spade’s coat, and he sings a little song like 🎶 fat guy in a little coat]? …… That was awesome.” RIP Chris 👏
I think teens and 20-somethings are forgetting who Chris was... Now I know how my grandparents felt - Some people should not be forgotten, RIP big guy
His chuckle at 51:00 made me double take that it wasn’t Chris
^^^THIS! I RACED to the comments the moment I heard the chuckle! I thought for sure that sounded JUST like him.
Great pod. Thanks sickle cell
We see you in those killer cameos! Always nail it too
PLEASE HAVE YOUR BROTHERS ON!!!
Awesome pod Sickle Cell. Thought it was gonna be Lawson tho!!
Happy 3 hundo big Reazy
Congrats on 300 episodes Ryan!!

I'll see ya with the fam in Tampa!!!
Good interview wholesome funny
13:13 Ooh I’m in east Pasadena. Grew up in Pas. It’s always been great. Kevin whereabouts unknown?! 😅

Holy shit. 1:04:40 "Is he already dead?" Is the best line I've heard in years and it got nothing. 😂
300 eps baby. Nice man.
That basically happened to me but with my dad
❤❤❤
Wish i could have come to the SLC show
the transmutation of pain into love... John's got it, fuck all of the bloody stools have it!
Haha i love how hot he came in and then almost had a pissed mad looking face hahah man this family is hilarious
John sounds like Chris' version of the fire chief from Tommy Boy "Oh my god"
Greg is making the case on why I stopped letting people use my streaming accounts.
I am a big guy with blind hair live in the same area and my name is Chris.
Ty ty, was in a murderous state of mind, the Tombstone pizza saved me lmao
I wonder if I can watch it on Amazon?

Ball of slime!
That water bottle is annoying me lol
I seen the autopsy photos and it was bad 😞😔
He seems suspect.
Sickler is getting pretty bad at cutting people off or talking over them
