It's always advisable to warm the engine up before changing the glow plugs. Less likely to snap if warm. Worked fine for me when I did my Mondeo. Btw, some 'stored codes' will automatically clear once the car has been taken for a 10 minute drive.
Hi Mark, I drove an old Jaguar S Type that was destined for the scrap yard over to Malta as a road trip adventure. Gave it to an ex pat and he investigated registering it in Malta as his wife had always wanted this type of car. Anyway, import tax was 33000 EUR.(33000 is not a typo) He scrapped the car but not before it was entered into a demolition derby. Hope your Fiat customer has a better experience with importing a car than my guy had. I believe emissions are used in the tax calculation so the Fiat will I guess do better than the Jag 😂
Why not try the intake air temperature sensor fists? If the sensor isn't telling the ECU that the car is cold, it may be interfering with the glow plug relay.
HI MARK, AS I SAID I HAVE SAME CAR I HAD PROBLEM WITH ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT SOMEONE ON RUclips SAID PUT NEW SEAL ON FUEL CAP WHICH I DID AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT IT WORKED NEW SEAL £5 I WOULD SAY GIVE IT A TRY !!!!!
@@ResurwreckAutosUK THE ACTUAL FUEL CAP HAS A SEAL ON IT I REPLACED IT THINKING THAT IT WOULD MAKE NO DIFFERENCE BUT IT WORKED THE FAULT I HAD SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THROTLE PEDAL SENSOR

Very informative on the glow plugs hopefully you will get some more not registered cars for the business
There is a section in the logbook for exporting a car it’s just as simple as changing ownership in the UK

Be careful Mark. Glow plugs are often 3-4 volts. 12 Volts doesn’t do them any good.
Hi Mark; knew you would sort it, but with one glow plug u/s how did it run fine on your test drive, wouldn’t it be firing on 3
