There are a couple of comments about how you cannot make 'meaningless theatre'. My opinion on the subject would be that surely it is nobler to try and fail rather than just accept that you cannot. Having seen Inferno in the Barbican, I'm quite glad SRS is trying, and I hope that they continue.
