- In this video I'll demonstrate and explain what typical delay settings like time, feedback, subdivisions, modulation and more actually do. I will use the MXR Joshua Ambient Echo for this livestream as well as an MXR Reverb and Mini Timmy Overdrive.

Digitech Freqout--would love to see you make the most of low volume feedback. For the newer stuff: a Super Collider, Walrus Fable, EQD Afterneath, or some other big option reverb to demonstrate making pads as well as how to set the guitar in a mix with reverb. I kind of would love to see two of these stacked together, what sounds you can get from them
Stack two simple delay pedals, and it's easy to get the effect shown at around the 31 minute mark; a bit like using a Copicat with the 2nd and 3rd heads engaged simultaneously.

Corey are you saying that generally you just use 300 ms. even on dotted 8 ?
For 1/4 as a simple one repeat delay
Corey, if we set our delay to dotted eighth does that mean our time knob is taken out of equation ? So rate only repeats and volume of delay matter ? The time setting is confusing for me on what it does if I have the delay pedal do dotted eighth or matter ? I don't know if that makes sense.
@@buckeyeshredder6003 to me, whenever you're using the tap switch, the delay knob is out of the equation as you're relying on beats per minute as opposed to delay time from the knob. You can use the delay time knob when not using a tap switch. One would just use their ears and pick a delay time that works right for them at that moment.
