- This video is half a Katana making video and half a fan tribute to the anime series Demon Slayer. In this video, I make Tanjiro's broken Katana. I used 5160 high carbon steel for the sword, poplar wood for the handles, and a leather wrap around the handle. All other "furniture" for the Katana was made with AEB-L stainless steel.

if you wanted to make it look a lot cooler I suggest making a full blade then getting a demon that looks like a little boy but is actually really powerful spider demon to cut it in half with his silk

I made the broken version because I feel like it's as iconic to the character as his full blade (and I think it's kind of cool having the broken version!).

Please make Zenitsu's or Rengoukus sword!. Like use a powdered resin or glow in the dark prominent yellow for the lightning bolt.

I used Poplar wood for the Tsuka, it's super easy to work with. The Tsuka is 12 inches long. And Thank you! My hand is fine now, just a little scar.

hi, can you show how you continue to wrap the tsuka in the middle then back to regular tsukamaki wrapping? been looking for tutorial didnt found one. wanna know where the other side of the ito hide or is is the same length left and right in the middle from the start?

Start by making something small, doesn't have to be a knife. You don't need expensive power tools to start, you can make something with $5 hand files. Show your parents that you like making things. :)
