    Nice one. Well done on the time. My first Fred this year and came in at 9:19. Heck of a day and I agree re Marshals…they were all amazing

    As Fred said "A good effort" I've done the event 5 times, 2015 to 2018, then in 2022. For 2019 & 2021 due to injuries & lack of fitness I marshalled on the car parking at Grasmere instead. Gave it a miss this year due to health issues, but fingers crossed I'll be back on the Fred next year!

    “Hay up” Scott
    Great to see you out on the road. Lot of respect for your footage! I need a 100% concentration to keep moving forwards never mind pointing a camera and commentary. Great coverage and reflection of a day in the lakes. If you put your camera in your back pocket you’ll be sub seven! Thanks for posting

    Well done Scott! I am currently psyching myself up for the event this year. Watching my video from my last official attempt in 2018, and when I rode one my own in 2019 and then your 2023 one. Not long now. Cheers Scott.

    Just discovering your channel, and I really enjoy your videos. As an aspiring cyclist, your really inspiring me. And I just want to say that there is a lot of crap out there on the internet, and it is rare to find a kind and genuine person, and your content is a breath of fresh air. Thanks a lot!

      @@CycletheNation Good to know 👍🏻 I was riding 28/11 on the back & the same up from last weekend & it was tough going! so may try and swap it out for a 30 or 32, it’s never going to be easy though 👊👍🏻

      @CycletheNation  Год назад +1

      @@warwickgooch yeah I had a 28/11 last year, but with a compact (50/34) on the front. Basically exactly the same 'granny' gear but better for higher speeds.

      @@CycletheNationhi , i got same ratio 52/36-11/30 still thinking is that’s good enough or go 11-32 but not sure that is much of the help haha.
      Any advice?

    • @octaneaandmusic
      @octaneaandmusic 8 месяцев назад

      @@rytisstanevicius4592 that all depends on how much power you can hold, for how long, after 95 miles. I'm probably above average (last year's result would back that up) but I simply couldn't stay on the bike on the very steep (25%+) for an extended time at that part of the day
